Put Cowan down back with Carrol. There is room for both.

Move Ollie back to the wings and tell him to run and carry into the f50. Ollie is not a back, but we need his gut running.

We need to drop Fogarty i think, as his strengths of last year are diminishing. Apart from tackles, he is not offering goals so we cant keep on carrying him. We have White, Durdin and Mots. With Charlie and Harry. This is a good forward line. No need for Fogs, he is slow and cant kick. He is a fill in for injury not a best 22.

For me. If ready Cowan for Fogarty. Harry for Young (sucks cause he did well on the weekend).

Cowan is not a replacement for Carrol - under any circumstance. As a matter of fact them jelling together would be ideal.

Would rather drop Mcgovern before him. Acres is also the other disposable one, although i prefer to give him more time to get his mojo back. At the moment, Ollie can offer the same output to acres.

My opinion !! We need more small backs especially this week against Geelong, given their pesty smalls. And their mids kick goals too. Run run against Geelong. No stop start as that will play into their hands.

Their best pesky small is out, though.

I don't think Cowan has been good enough to be brought straight back in. VFL for mine. H is a tough one because he could be a match winner while Young is at best a role player, and I don't subscribe to a rigid orthodoxy about not dropping a player after a good performance any more than I support a rigid orthodoxy about always playing the best on-paper players. I would be OK with no changes or H for Young, and perhaps White and Lord swapping vests.

He was there, walking around, putting weight onto his knee. That's a good sign.

9 day break should fix it.

EDITED meant day not game

Sounds like Carlton.

"he's OK" = "9 game break"

If Weitering is not 100%, then put Young back and give him a rest this week. I have confidence Young can do the job on Neale

I am more wiorried that both Weitering AND Harry are not ok. We can't have Young ends both forward and back.

A blow for club and player here, but Jack Silvagni has a break in his hand from the win over Geelong & that exchange with Dangerfield. Timeline from here remains unclear. Silvagni had found real form in that key defensive post the Blues had been crying out for. @1116sen

In addition to Sammy’s report, Silvagni will have surgery in the next day or two. Likely timeframe is 1-2 weeks out, dependent on the success of the procedure.

Zac Williams has had scans on his calf. Not believed to be as severe as high-grade strain that saw him miss 12 games in 2022.

So I'm guessing it's around 6-8 weeks then.

So does Dangerfield get sent to the tribunal for striking?

“I take great offence at being brought before you tonight. As the vision clearly shows, I was doing everything in my power to prevent Silvagni from damaging his hand. Even going as far as to demonstrate the type of action that should be avoided.”

I remain worried about Chez and Haynes. Hopefully they are not as injured as they look. And I thought Walsh was a bit proppy after halftime.

Mate , if he only misses one to two weeks I would be wrapped . Hand injuries can be very troublesome and tend to linger . Good luck with it Jack . One thing we know for certain is that Jack will give it everything he's got to get back on track .

Apparently there is another injury on top of JSOS. Hopefully just Williams.

Haynes’ shoulder looked like it was a subluxation. He’ll be a watch, but should be ok with a couple hundred metres of tape.

Cerra played on, but that doesn’t mean anything.

Fingers crossed for both.
