What a shame the big 25 didn't change his mind and stay at the Blues because boy we could use him now and premiership 17 could have been a little bit closer.

Who would play Hendo's role?
and what about Lucas...leave that one alone for now....he has potential.

Interesting to read that thread again. This was a very big part of why I didn't buy a membership this year. Still greatly disappointed in the club for this and the sub-par performance of our club has not helped.

That balls up is 100% why I'm not a member this season.

No taxation without representation!

The club should just drop the pretence, and stop calling it membership.

Membership should be about more than just games access, a few stickers, and a crappy hat.

I wonder if I hadn't started that thread, would this stuff up have even been brought to light?

I haven't seen any media ever report it.

Such unswering support for the club

No 1 fact ->> CFC is not an investment vehicle
No 2 fact ->> You will NEVER make money from CFC
No 3 fact ->> You're lack of support for the club is the exact reason why you should never have a vote, ever. Don't see why you deserve it.

You either support the club or you don't the in betweens are meaningless meanderings.

this part of that thread seemed pretty clear?
Quote:
The committee (comprising myself, Greg Lee, Ari Suss, Marcus Clarke and Jason Reddick) was of the view that the procedure was far too restrictive and not representative of the overall membership of the Club. We agreed that more members should have the right to vote. A discussion took place as to whether there should be any restrictions at all. We were of the view that we should require a level of membership that was at least an 11 home game package because these members were more "invested" in the Club than say 3 game members and indeed the new "armchair" membership now available. Not only "invested" more from a financial sense but also in terms of attending games.

Unfortunately, we inadvertently failed to consider long distance members. There was no conspiracy I can assure you. It was simply an oversight.

On behalf of the Board, I apologise to those long distance members who have lost their voting rights. Consideration was given to whether we could make a late change to the amended Constitution forwarded to members along with the notice of the AGM. Legal advice indicated that it was too late. Again, I am very sorry.

The Board will re-consider this next year and further changes can be made at next year's AGM.

I hope this clarifies the issue.

Regards

Stephen M

For the good of the club, it needs a fresh start without these men. Please.

Sticks, you were the greatest on field leader this club has ever seen.

Please now show us you are a credible off field leader too by resigning now, or at least announce that you will be stepping down at the end of the year.

You've given it your best shot, and you've come up short - I'm sure that's not something you are not used to dealing with. But you must know in your heart what the best thing is for this club you love so much. You will always be a hero, but the longer you now stay, the more tarnished your status becomes. Just do it.

Hopefully Fitzpatrick was telling Sticks that he was going to be Carltons president....

Fitzpatrick...........he was too busy convincing Kernahan to sign on the dotted line......to bother with anything more important like the clubs wellbeing.

John Nicholls!!!!

The fact that people say Sticks shits me to tears.
He wasnt a patch on Nicholls.

Elliott elevated this guy to that kind of status to use him politically.

Frakensticks!!!

Good as Sticks was, Big Nick gets my vote as greatest on field leader.

Saturday morning 8.16am, Ratts and Sticks resigned yet? Or will they hang on 'till the end of the year? Last night had to be the final straw.

Ah well, rd 22 we play GC, might pinch that one. Fair dinkum, on present form the only other game between now and then that we may win is against the Scraggers rd 17 and I wouldn't be too confident there either.
