Big Knockera v Big Cox

Warnock will ruck 80-90% of the game again and we wont need Hampson.

This is the reason I have been so perplexed by the Hampson soggy biscuits this week.

He had a couple of good weeks, before a long term injury.

He has been away for a long time from senior football.

He was not that great even before he got injured.

Yet we have Warnock who is fit, match hardened and in form who will ruck 80% of the game.

We have Setanta who is fit, match hardened and in form and working well as a forward and will pinch hit in the ruck.

We want to bring in someone who might be fit, might not be match hardened, might not be in AFL form, cannot kick goals when that will be his number one job and will just pinch hit in the ruck.

Does not make sense to include Hampson.

Put our best players on the park against their best players and see how we go.

Davies is not in our best players. Hampson could bring something ie the X factor.

We have got sh*t loads of x-factor.

If we include Hampson we add zero x-factor and lose plenty of flexibility.

Davies can do more jobs than Hampson at Subiaco.

Tuohy can fill a Davies roll AND provide run. Warnock Setant and Hammer can rotate forward/ruck/bench and demand greater defensive scrutiny from NicNat/Cox

Teddy.
Im not a fan of Davies.
What he brings is some toughness..
Toughness wins finals.

He is a roleplayer.

StKilda almost won two flags with more roleplayers than the epic movie War and Peace.

We have a pretty good mix.

Tuohy is the one that is interesting.
He runs the lines and has a penetrating kick that can split zones.

Look we still have holes..and players i dont think are upto it...but so does everyone.

In the end we get to see who has the best mix.. last man standing affair.

Everyone will go about it in different ways... but like in that movie the Highlander.. there can be only One.

Well see!

Im comofrtable with what we have

Why are you worried about Cox?

He was subbed off early in a massive game that was in the balance. Think about it.

He will be hindered one way or another, he will not play the best game he has ever played.

Natanui will flash in and out but not turn the game.

all the more reason to be proactive and put them both on the defensive and under pressure

Davies has played very little football in the last month.....

Yes, but perhaps Davies will play the defensive forward role on Hurn that everyone is expecting Robbo to play after last week, freeing up Robbo to go back to what he actually does best ... hurting opposition players by throwing himself homicidally into packs and putting blocks on for Juddy.

I reckon it is proactive to put your fittest and hardest players on the park in finals.

Hampson has been out of action for too long. Same would apply to Waite in theory if he was 95% fit.

You only include players who are either not match hardened or 100% fit in finals if they are absolute superstars.

Hampson is not a superstar.

Wow! I logged on here just to scroll through who was complaining about selections and lo and behold Synners has shown up!!! Awesome to see an old face back.

And to connect the topics of an Eagles final and the Synbad return, my comment is that even in a game where the opposition forwards are Lynch, Kennedy and Darling, we still have no need for Goose Maguire

Go Blues!!!

Hampson kicked 6 goals, apparently 4goals come in the last quarter on a midget.

To date, he has never done bugger all in a game. Even if he marks the ball after 7 attempts he can barely kick a ball outside 30m.

I tend to agree with Synbad on this and welcome back Synbad.

However, one thing he will bring, if he does get selected is that atleast he can provide a tall option, if T-bird or Setanta go down. He won't mark it but atleast he will present and hopefully drop his marks in front of jeffrey and eddie.

If Cox doesn't play, the Eagles would want us to select Hammer.

We have a huge advantage if Cox doesn't play, as they will be putting up NicNat/q against Setanta/Robbie.

Which basically means Big Q plays less in the forward line and l'm pretty confident about Jammo or Hendo doing a pretty good job on Darling and Kennedy.
