The kinds of things Murphy and co don't have.
Footy is also about what's going on between the ears

You missed the last quarter against Port Adelaide then?

Fair point. Did you see the first 3 quarters against the swans in the semi though.......

Never thought I'd be agreeing with Synners

Chaps won't allow our players to get away with things on the ground.
They are known for their dishonesty.
Chaps would make them honest. He's a scary guy for our dishonest marshmallows

On each other's shoulders?

Revolutionary.

Struggling to see how they'd achieve that. Perhaps one on the other one's shoulders, but on each others - hang on, just pictured it, kinda like a 69.....

Rumoured to be seen talking with collingwood officials. Straight swap for shaw someone's put fwd?

Which Collingwood officials? Greg Swann? Buttifant?

Oh, wait...

When was the last time that you heard a rumour that player x had 'fallen out with the coach' and wanted a trade and it was true?
Besides, where is Walks? He's on holiday, isn't he? Have they had a falling out since the last time they saw each other - which I guess was last week? Did they have a falling out earlier in the year, but no-one knew of it until 2/3rds through the trade period, when, incidentally, any Muppet can go on Radio and reveal what he (for it is always he) has head from a 'source'?

GET HEAD FROM A SOURCE!!

Makes it harder to man up that way.

Or does it?

Is John Ralph the biggest flog in football?

http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/carlto ... 6736964889

"Second oldest list"... after we have announced the delisting of several younger players when many other clubs have not delisted players yet.

"Going to be the oldest list"... but we haven't signed Pods or Chappy or any of the others yet.

"8 players under 23"... but we haven't been to the draft yet, having dismissed Mitchell, McCarthy et al

Some reasonable points could have been made on some of these issues and instead he has written a sensationalist piece of crap!

As I understand it, we were the 7th oldest list this year. We finished 6th... Leaving out the tripe it can be argued we are where we should be...

Yes, he's somewhere on the podium. Yet another Herald Sun 'journalist' who doesn't bother himself with pesky research.

What are you blokes complaining about, the sarcasm or an implication he is serious? We are a bunch of dunderheads if we can't narrow down our targets from 15. Figuratively speaking, we have always armed ourselves with a blunderbuss instead of a sniper rifle; either that or we use an elephant gun to shoot a mouse. Bloody subtle club Carlton is.

What if you have a 2006 WRX with hail damage and a VK Commodore with a dodgy transmission and no rego?

You're Essendon*.

If he comes, will he be hungry or just playing a couple of extra years because he still can?
I know elite athletes of every sport get white line fever but Chappy has done everything he needs to do in footy and to start at a new club at his age and to the pre-season and all? I hope we don't pick him up but if we do, I hope he's worth it. It's a huge call even though he will cost us nothing as a delisted free agent, other than a draft pick. We have to get it right.

I'd like to bring in just one of the older guys and out of those available Chapman offers the most.

I think his influence on the group just with attitude alone would be worth every cent of his pay.

The fact that he can play a bit and when he does he's a machine would be a bonus.

Our playing group lack what Chapman has in spades.

GET CHAPMAN

We are in a situation where our young players are largely poor and will be lucky to get much of a meaningful career out of any of them.

Also Docherty isn't exactly old is he?

Without being fully across various draft and cap issues, I agree with this rationale.

Me three.

Chapman even if he plays 10 games for the season would still probably end up in the top 10 for our B&F. That speaks volumes. Use him as a bit player - he mightn't necessarily be a walk up for any game he's fit.
