The media are sooking because we didn't meet their timeline in sacking the coach.
They don't dictate the timelines. @#$%&! em'. Let's just focus on getting the right people in place. It's takes whatever time it does.
Why should we be rushed because Gerard and his mates dont like it. These are the same blokes who said last week that we should have put Teague out of his misery 4 weeks before. We were about to play GC to be half a game out of the 8 at that stage.
These flower speak without thinking first. It will make it even sweeter to stick it up them.

They should have sacked him 4 weeks ago.
Why wait?
Now they've left it late and the coach and his manager are criticising the captain.

I second that ....

How shameful!! They Have had 10 weeks to plan this day and they imploded

Liddle needs to be walked out ... also
This day? Sorry, who designated this day as The Day? Is it because Mad Monday's off this year & we need something else? The club will make the call when it sees fit to do so. That might be in a few days. It obviously won't be in a few weeks.

At no stage in season 2021, has anyone from the club, or the review panel, specified that a decision on the head coaching job would be made & announced on the first Monday post round 23.

If that is too hard for some people to process, then stiff shit.

I take your point . As I do cazzeman on this site , but for Teague to let pickers come out and let rip on the club and Cripps shows what is really going on , and they are forcing the club into a corner and these leaks from the media are comin from tegaue corner to a extension liddle

You think it’s ok our coach embarrasses our captain in the public domain , now 3 times this year ?? Including his manager pickers ??

And then expect to keep coaching and ask cripps and the rest of playing group ,to go out there and play for the coach

Are you sure about what you say, or is that opinion?

Relax. Trade Period doesn't start till October. This is OUR time now.

Everyone in the footy world knows the game. Media screams and shouts for a news story. The club is stronger for not caving in to the media's demands and headlines. Time is on our side.

  Sorry paddy, but I've got to laugh.

Why wait? What's the hurry? Process is what has to determine when and what is said by the Club.

So what what Pickering says? Teague can keep his dignity, or make a fool of himself in the footy industry.

Stick and stones will break our bones....

4 weeks ago when we were playing game against GC to be 2 points out of the 8?
How do you think David Teague would have accepted that?
If he's throwing the toys out of the cot now, he would have been a screaming lunatic with that option.

I think you know how the industry works Donstuie.

SEN is 24/7 footy and they need stories.
Herald Sun is online with footy updates 24/7
Fox Footy...and so and so on.....

They need a story, and if they can't get one to fill in time and pages, they make it up ... to get clicks.

Fake News. It is hilarious, unless you let it get to you, or worse...you believe their hype.

I deliberately stayed away from the media today, knowing what the day would be like, and took advantage of 27 degrees C down at the Beach. Beautiful Day.

^ These idiots have been forecasting Teague's sacking for past six months - I suggest they give up with the bullshit.

I bet the Reviewers didn't make that statement.

The Board has to review the Review, and give the footy dept a chance for their feedback and view on the findings.

That seems normal, considerate and the logical next step in the process of a Review.

Don't worry about Effedruggies*. We all dislike them* with a passion. They have nothing to do with the Review. Anyway we beat them this year with 8 Best 22 out injured

Seriously mate you kidding yourself

Your boys manager in pickers just called Cripps out in the media

Any other coaches done that thru the media

It is definitely down to Cripps and Teague showdown

Shows you genuinely know nothing about the inside of the club

So you ain’t tegaue in disguise

Brilliant.

Pickering the media commentator...oh no...the player manager...on no, the ex manager of Clarkson....the conflicted sour puss...and posters are worried about what Pickering has said. FMD

In fact it would be more disrespectful not to allow Teague to respond to the report
He needs to be able to challenge the report
The additional advantage of this is the board then can say they made their decision after not just getting the report but after hearing what the coach has to say in response ie in making the decisions they have all the information required including the response of the coach to the report and it’s findings

They can also say that a decision was not made until the had all evidence including the coaches presumably counter -arguments in response to the review

This is smart by Sayers and no amount of media baying for someone’s blood or Kingus hand wringing and Gerards moral compass bleatings detract from that

If the had any semblance of how these things should be done properly and according to due process they would be supporting Sayers approach

Absolutely

Watching footy classified no one said it was a shambles
Were surprised that decision was not made today on Teague
Caro still thinks Teague is gone and Clarkson is favourite and still doesn’t think Lyon is out of picture
Caro didn’t think Pickering comments about Lyon were very good snd says he hasn’t advised his client Teague very well for the last 10 months
Lloyd who is conflicted tried to say Sayers doesn’t understand footy clubs are different to businesses

If he resigns it doesn't? Maybe we are just trying to drag this out as painfully as possible for him (death by a thousand cuts) in the hope he'll just say stuff it, I resign and it wont go towards our soft cap?

Teague’s salary will count, plus the additional salary that his replacement will be paid (since he’s worth more), same goes for the assistants that are replaced AND the new Head of Football, should there be one.

The tax for spending over the cap is makey-uppy, but is expected to be 50c on the dollar.

Right on.

And if we've got the money to pay the tax, we pay it ... after the AFL Commission have done some makey uppey.

We are no longer the AFL's meek puppet.
