Sorry but I just feel so pessimistic.
There is always one prelim that is a blowout and I think Brisbane will blitz us.
I take consolation that it's better to lose to Brisbane than Collingwood.
We have done brilliantly but this feels a bridge too far.
I am not feeling very confident either especially when compared to the last two weeks.

i think Pies are an easier win for Blues if we get to play a GF this season than a GWS in tip top form who smothered us in the last home and away round.

I wish I felt the same way, but -1 day's rest and interstate travel will count against us. And round 24 was of little significance I reckon.

a lot of talk about us putting the cue in the rack round 24 and it’s true it was a dead rubber but i’m not buying it. Blues were trying but Giants were just excellent. Toby Green kicks two feet higher on that fourth quarter banana and Giants beat the “best team” in the AFL for 2024.

For those heading to The Morrison in Brisbane; it is packed! Takes about 20-30 minutes to get a drink.
Go Blues!

This place is much better.

I’m just pausing for a sec to consider that we are a top 3 team even if we lose.
If offered this at the beginning of the season, I would have taken it.
If offered this at the bye, I would have grabbed on for dear life!!
Now, of course, I want more.

But just worth taking a moment to appreciate how well we have done to earn this!!

just shows AFL is very much a team sport and how important team dynamics, team belief and player synergy across the lines is. a champion team can beat a team of champions any day. and lucky for us we have both a champion team and some incredible individuals who can stand up in the big moments that finals produce. hopefully that’s enough to achieve *mission impossible* at the GABBA. love that the odds are so heavily in Lions favour. if win this it’s a truely remarkable moment.

I am feeling the same way.
We have had 2 tough games in a row and I have the feeling today may be a blowout.
I hope I am wrong but I also would rather lose today than to Collingwood next week. But then again how good would it be to knock of the Pies?

felt that way for two or three weeks. Lions at home was going to test any team. (ie Dees, us, Swans or Pies). strangely less pessimistic as it approaches. won’t be watching though! sacrificing my game for the team. :-)

As usual I'd expect accuracy will play a major part. Take your chances boys.
My only other concern is that if we get behind, players will start trying to do it all themselves. It's trusting the 22 that has got us this far. We don't need any heroes. That what cost GWS in the end. Just do your job and give it to the player in the best position.

Agree...Tom Green comes to mind

What an even better day today would've been if those [expletive deleted] lost last night
