Is training today an open session????

Would love to get some news from someone who can make it down there re: the blokes who are 50/50 to play.

Can't say I'd be that surprised if Kreuzer doesn't come up - the guy had surgery on Monday - at least, I assume that's how you remove a cyst from an artery - meaning he has to be, at the very least, a little ginger on the track this week. Whoever can make it down to training tomorrow - have to say it will be interesting viewing with queries over Waite, Kreuzer, Thornton and Jamo.

You can get cysts cut out or they can just go in with a needle and drain 'em.

yep...pretty sure it was a minor procedure that involved draining the fluid from the cyst.

KB reckons we should play Waite.

It's official MC - he needs to play!

Greg Denham: "If they don't kick goals Carlton have no hope"

Sage words there.

Ratten has clearly got it all wrong.

To win games you need to kick goals - None of this clearances, offensive pressure, defensive rebounding shit.

No wonder his head is on the chopping block! Denham for coach!

Don't know if I'll make it to Sunday in one piece. So bloody nervous.

So desperately want to win. Simply cannot fathom the alternative.

I'm with you brother.

I can't believe you ppl listen to SEN on a regular basis.

Some of the shit on this morning.

KB is making the most sense and that's saying something.

Apparently playing Waite is a risk yet its OK for Essendon* to play Hurley with a possible stress fracture. Levi Casboult should come in for his debut.

You cannot say that he does not have the ability.

Come on, where's the debate? I've put up some evidence. Or has it suddenly dawned on you that he actually has ability and that many supporters have short memories?

Sorry to say (cos I actually think Austin is a decent player and is still a chance to become an AFL regular, at the Blues or elsewhere) but don't see how that video helps your case - the only significant involvement for Austin that I saw was him chasing the ball with back with Schneider, doing alright initially but then losing the next contest, Schneider got the handball receive and ran into goal ....

While I'm a huge Waite fan I dont think we should bring him in. Yes it would make our team look great on paper but that's not where it counts.

I think he is so far underdone it wouldn't be fair on him or the team. Put your hand up if you think he will come into the game and kick 5 goals, ahhh not me. I don't rate having him as the sub either. This game will be played at full speed. Our sub must be a runner!

I'm not a big fan of Setanta but he did the same job last week that we're expecting Waite to do this week.

Play Waite in the two's. If he goes ok bring him in next week. I think we're a sure bet this week (however, i'm still nervous) so Waite will get a run under his belt and feel much better about his ability to have an impact next week.

Inaccurate kicking for goal is our biggest worry. Take your chances boys please!

Oh and Robbo, plaese don't get over excited about smashing in (although I'd love you to take a couple of scum out early) and get reported. We'll need you next week aswell.

:fight: Blues by 22pts :fight:

Although it's going to be fine and sunny here in Perth for the next week or so I'd love to be in Melbourne this weekend.

Sam Edmund reports Waite trained with the main group this morning. http://twitter.com/#!/SammyHeraldSun/st ... 3556219904

Honestly, just stick him in the Bullants.

Something I realised today: We've only played about 3 games this year with Waite, Jamo and Kreuzer (Brisbane, Sydney, West Coast, ?)

THREE GAMES!

And even in the WCE game, Jamo went down early. So it's really only twice.

Playing Waite would be madness IMO. Even as a sub.

Do not play unfit players in finals. Simple! I even have doubts about Kruezer. Takes 24 months to really get over a knee and he is no where near his best. The issue is that Hampson isn't fit either!

We lack real depth in the key position spots and unfortunately the players we have are injured. Key position players and ruck man really come into their own in finals.

I am really worried if we are relying on Walker, Betts and Garlett to kick goals in finals. Someone else is going to have to step up. Setanta, Gibbs???

Agreed
There's no reason we can't tear Essendon* apart without Waite.

Who's going to kick goals for Essendon* if Hurley isn't 100% or held like he was in the drawn game?

They're more stretched than us with Crameri out.

Only Carlton has worries.
