i dont really give a @#$%&! what happens this week as long as we play with a bit of heart and intent this week, and if we are getting pumped this time ratts, any @#$%&! chance we could play some man on man football and back our lads in.

sorry, last week really took the wind out of my sails.

watching my first meaningful game in 2 months i expected us to get close to the hype id been hearing about.

i have no doubt if we play our OWN brand of footy we can beat brisbane, i'm just trying to lower my expectations so im not so shattered come saturday night..

god its good to be back in september where it really does mean everything.

let it all hang out on saturday, life's too short for regrets.

Setanta had CHF stitched up for the time being when Fev crashed him. It sounded like a particularly nasty injury so not surprising it has taken some of the edge off his game. When he is playing well he offers a lot more to the side than Cloke IMO. This is really last chance for Cloke but I don't think it is last chance for Setanta.

Hopefully theres still some foxing going on. Be good for us if they play all of their doubtful players because there'd be a very good chance a couple of them would break down.

Better media this week with no scandal so far and Wallet putting a few of our faves rightly under the microscope. Scandals tend to deflate teams whereas criticisms of player efforts can tend to fire up players to perform better. Fingers crossed we work much harder through the middle of the ground.

CloLimited opportunities Cloke is in front..................

I trust the MC
Then again I trusted Parkin, Pagan, Ratts

The key one there is goal contributed. Santy averages double.

They've played about as many up forward as each other, and as many in the ruck too. Cloke is a better ruckman, but that's not saying much.

If this is a question of form or talent, Setanta has been robbed. Ratten is losing the plot with his run vs tall issue.

The Selections are a gamble... Ratten dropped one tall in Senta assuming that Bradshaw will not come up

if Black doesnt play, We will win... if he does play, it will go either way...

Conspiracy theory anyone?!

Getting the feeling that there is a 'second flight' to Brisbane.

On it - Yarran to bring the flair, 206 to bring the first use and Setanta to bring the PAIN!

Ratt's, somehow - I don't know, is going to school Voss on the art of 'foxing'

I dont particularly rate Cloke but his height and strength could prove a handful for the Lions defenders. They play a mobile backline and we should look to exploit that. It also may drag Bradshaw back if we get the ascendency in the middle.
It's a proactive decision by the MC which I dont mind.

On the other hand if they don't use him at the appropriate times and go to Fev with 3 blokes on him like we normally do then their mobile backline will make Cloke look like a statue.

Bit unfair on Yazz............ i thought he gave a fair bit last week. 3 awesome tackles and some nice plays. To drop him for somebody who slept in is a bit of a downer.

Cloke for Setanta is just mindboggling...............

I know Setanta has been down on form, but if Bradshaw does play, will cloke go back to defence? I doubt it highly.

We are leaving Bower and Thornton to take care of Brown and Bradshaw - hmmmmm! :screwy:

What do you mean SydneyBlue, a 2 hour...

...oh hang on.

That's just for Sydney.

Melbourne's still LIVE.

That's a no hour delay.

p.s Carlton paying $1.91. Essendon* paying $7.83.

Probably nothing in it, but there was some footage of Fev interviewed at the airport on One HD last night. When asked about the 'ins', I am sure that he said that he will have Betts, Garlett AND 'Yazz' with him up forward. Did anyone else hear this, or was I too preoccupied with the Extreme Paintball?

Liked our chances at 4pm yesterday... not so much now. An off night for either Bower or Thornton will cost 5 goals, and heaven forbid should one of them get injured!

Don't forget Andrew Walker when thinking of our defence

He has done some terrific jobs in the past on high profile forwards

You'd reckon he'd get Brennan, wouldn't you? At least I hope he does.

Blues want to do it for Pratt

FFS you'd think we've learned by now not to go on about "Doing it for Dick" given our shithouse performances the other times we've mentioned it

x2

Honestly Cloke is a better selection than Setanta for a forward based on current form.
The only reason why Setanta may have been a better selection is if he was used in the backline, because I am a little worried we are too small down there with the likes of Brown, Bradshaw, and Brennan.

If Bradshaw doesn't play (the club may know somwthing we don't) then I would drop Setanta too because honestly he has looked very lost the past few weeks at CHF, even though he was brilliant for a few games

If the midfield pull their collective fingers out the forward and back lines will take care of themselves.
When we lose it's almost always lost in the middle, rarely at either end of the ground.
