Really excited about the draft. this gives us a really good chance to not only restart the rebuild if that makes sense but finally build a core for 10 years plus. Do this well and rockbottom won't hang around for too long.

I do believe that our coaching wasn't up to scratch in recent years so a new energy and new core - plus some established players responding to that - will give us all hope.

Go Blues

Henderson for Walker straight swap was my personal favourite. Closely followed by Yarran for McBean.

Classic HS troll for CFC clicks.

If only the club could make revenue off that same kind of reaction.

How the years nd decades have changed. I still recall fondly reading Tony De Bolfo articles about Carlton. Ah, the nostalgia.

Adding Wright takes us to 39 senior listed players & 3 rookies. Meaning we will have 2 live picks tomorrow in the rookie draft (if we bypass the PSD).

Wright's addition means we can no longer nominate 2 rookies at the start of the year to play. Meaning one of the Irish boys will miss out unless we get a long term injury - but given our injury record, I'd guarantee someone to go down before round 1.

I'd say so.

Especially given the similarity in type of player.

That would depend on how the first round of the rookie draft goes. If there's enough young talent on the board that outranks Holman (there's a decent chance as not every club is taking live picks), then we won't take him.

I love this years trading. Built in redundancy and succession planning.

Jaksch as likely replacement of White as 3rd tall in forwardline or Backline
Weitering as the natural heir of Rowe's CHB spot
Glass-Mac as the replacement for Jamison after 2017.

McKay as the replacement of Henderson and takes over Casboults spot
Gorringe to relieve Everitt at KPF
Lamb/Summer/Galucci to fight for small forwards role currently Armfields after vacated by Betts Garlett

Phillips/ Gorringe to replace Warnock and Kreuzer if injured or plays forward.

The rest will take others' current roles

Curnow
Boekhorst
Byrne
Rainbow
Gowers
Sheehan
Cunningham
Plowman
Silvagni
Kerridge

I can see us passing Bumbers, Demons, Saints, Brions, and giving others a scare such as GCS, all of them!!!! Its the off season.
