i think he will probably get one cimm...
dunno...ask the board ... the board hire and sack.. not me...

and mick doesnt hire himself....

but from what i know... i doubt he will be asked to move on.....

unless he loses the players.... and even though it seems he has... i doubt he has.....

were going the rebuild.... mick said it... and now trigg and juicy told us...

they all seem to be singing from the same hymn book.....

..I don't think he has lost the players, that's giving them too much credit.. ..rather, leaders in Murphy and Gibbs are playing hurt so they soft and slack off, and that's the message to the rest of the group to slack off.. ..fragile mentality, and always being told that the club will fix it foor them, instead of having the real heat applied to the players to start fixing it themselves.. ..messiah players, chase free agents, tank for early picks, million dollar coaches.. ..trust us, we'll work the miracle for you.. ..no need to break a sweat..

What makes you say/think Gibbs has slacked off this year? Apart from Thomas he had equal least amount of time on the ground against Richmond and was the leading possession winner. Against the Eagles outside of White he had the 5th least amount of game time and again was our leading possession winner and laid 12 tackles.

Can anyone explain what his actual job description is, or what his KPI's would be? And fronting up to the cameras every week to tell us player x has "had scans" and would be "1-2 weeks" doesn't count. Unless one of his KPI's is "players only to be reported as being out for 1-2 weeks". In which case, flower me, he's the highest performing drop punt at the club.

He is responsible for overseeing all football operations. All of it. He is board and CEO appointed.

..his work off the ball Verbs.. .. Gibbs doesn't push himself anywhere near hard enough, over his career it's been his one consistent weakness.. ..this is the main thing holding him back.. ..I don't think he has any other flaws, but this one is a biggy.. ..needs more ticker..

Thanks jimmae. Well given how royally [REDACTED] we have continued to be in the football department since he replaced Steven Icke, it sounds like we should be questioning his worth as well.

we lost in on coaches for offering less a couplel of years ago

the offer we made mcleod for instance wasnt worth him shifting his young family over
obree went for more

but we still have barker and capuano

plus a few cheap ring ins like brad green and wiley

dean laidley is the most impressive on the asst coaching panel and nobody would hire him as main coach again...

like the rest of the layers of the club... nothing coming through....

It may come down to financial cost.

We may not be in a position to shell out another $1m a year for a coach.

In fact the $1m could get us a "young" coach and an upgrade or two on quality assistants.

All this crap re re-building. The most crucial are is DEVELOPMENT!!

What are we going to improve this area. Don't want a swag of early picks only to see them flounder without the correct development.

wow..
just watched our team segment on the fox team selection show.
that guy Dickson, took a bat to MM's coaching..
particularly that he does not coach on what the opposition team are doing/will do.
he showed some footage as example.
real eye opener.
scarily true.
not sure if we can post the segment..maybe wookie can?

Yeh saw that myself, I also cringed at the half forward line of Armfield, Jones, Ellard. When MM arrived it could read Garlett, Waite, Betts..... I can't stand this coach and the crap he's done and said since he arrived.

Oh yes terrific players Garlett and Waite. Really have that finals toughness you build a culture around.
Looking to the future with a 32 year old and one of the softest players to pull on the cfc jumper and you may as well add robinsons lace up passes to your revisionist history

Hey, we are rebuilding but playing the players that won't be there next year :banghead:

Club is rebuilding but Malthouse is coaching to survive.

I'm so desperate verbs,

Bad Bax bax...don't get caught up in the imagery. From what I read today:

It wasn't MM who decided they were going.
MLD told the MC what he thought and what we as a club shouldn't accept: to improve our culture.
They were MLDs thoughts but not directives. The final decision was MC and Board.
The MC and Board decided to not offer a second year let alone a spot on the list.
Not MMs doing.
Coaches are the first to forgive coz they want the best on the paddock.
Especially so when you have a coach with a good win loss record over a lon long time, as did Pagan.
Pagans W-L average went downhill after his stint with Carlton.
Get it?
