We're still treading water IMO. Even though we were beaten in the first three games, I thought our performances were reasonable. We havent made a lot of inroads since then.
Our kickouts are improving but we're still average in the stoppages.

Couldn't disagree more.

There has been a massive improvement in our game style, attitude, team harmony, depth etc. Stoppages will improve. Not an issue.

People are too focused on margins etc. We are working at getting OUR game plan going and it gets better all the time. We are nowhere near as reactive as we were earlier in the year.

Our scores against are improving all the time.

Players are settling and getting more confident. There has been improvement in Walker, Garlett, Henderson, Yarran, Tuohy, White, Warnock, Armfield, Lucas etc and we have got valuable experience into Bootsma, Cachia, Davies, Rowe, Buckley.

We are SIX games into a new regime and IMO the signs are great. Into the current side we still have Waite, Gibbs, Graham, Menzel, Laidler, Watson, Casboult, Bell, McInnes to try and force their way back in. Not a bad problem to have.

I still believe 7-4 at halfway would be an awesome result and lots of improvement still to come. Come finals we should be playing our best footy and could really cause some havoc.

Very true. Our game style has definitely improved since we scrapped the "long kick along the boundary" style we attempted early in the year.
Credit to Mick, he realised we play better when we press up, run and carry, use the corridor and switch the ball. Much like we've been doing for years.
As for attitude, team harmony etc, we'd only be guessing from the outside but when you're winning, those aspects will inevitably improve.
Depth is another issue. Its amazing how much your depth improves when half your list isnt on the injury list.

Personally, I think we've made gains. We're kicking the ball out better and some crucial players have made progressions. But to suggest stoppages are not an issue is ridiculous. Stoppages are a major source of scoring and if we can get our numbers back to previous years, it can only relieve pressure off our back 6 and give us further opportunities to score.
Its a crucial area we need to improve on immmediately if we want to be a valid finals contender.

We are 6th in the competition for clearance differentials. Hawthorn are 12th, Essendon* are 14th & Geelong are 17th.

Essendon* smashed Geelong in the stoppages on Friday night and were quite soundly beaten. The game changes from year to year...

Big game coming up and the next 3 rds with top 8 teams playing, win these and we could be inside the top 4.
This mob has beaten us 15 out of 17 times since 2002. Enough is enough. Time to smash them while their down....

I couple of car loads of us decided last minute to make the trip from albury to this game tomorrow....they wanted to do it on the cheap and asked me to get the tickets. I got General Admission this morning. Can someone tell me how General admission works for Etihad? How early will we need to turn up etc...?

You may not have to concern yourself.

Mmm...so Kreuzer, Carrazzo & Yarran possible (likely?) late outs. Plus no Gibbs or Waite.

Crap.

After watching Freo beat the Pies (easily really) without Fyfe, Hill and losing Griffith early (he's been fantastic for them) we should, if our game style is close to being locked down, beat the saints no matter who is out.

We were never going to play 3 rucks.

Do we think we fooled St Kilda?

Kreuzer in doubt for Monday night: Malthouse

Wait.. Did I miss something re. Carrazzo? Is he not playing now?

Personally I always assumed one of the ruckman would go out of the side and Levi would come in

Should be fairly smooth on a Monday night....most likely back two thirds of level 3. Will still be a good view.

They usually get a good crowd at this game. I always sit on level 3. If you go behind the goals you can usually get seats closer to the front.

You're posting your best 22 for next week before we've even played this week, and are already advocating a minimum of three unforced changes?

I know you insist on posting your best 22 at least a dozen times each week, but that's just ridiculous. I don't see what it achieves.

Not to mention the lack of Armfield at CHB.
