Collins may still come in. Looks a good player who has a dip. Strange exclusion if he does miss but i reckon he will play. Probably for Yaz if i was a betting man.

This may well happen Club. If it does, indicates that Yaz only paid VFL last week to see if he could get through a game with his dodgy toe, something I'd strongly suspected. At least they found out last week and not this week in such a vital match.

So its Yazz the super sub again. Oh goodie

Club should have learned from when they played Watson, that some guys just don't fire up in the Magoos, but put em in the 1s and away they go. We all know that Lucas can play. If JR did well last week, then he's also gotta be better than AJ ?

The key to beating Hawthorn, as shown by Richmond is pressuring their defenders and making them rush their kicks.
and we Kick high and long to the goals
a forward line of
Betts, Hampson, Walker
Garlett, Kreuzer, Yarran
will achieve this
Warnock dominates in the ruck a la Melbourne and Geelong then we're a chance

Joseph has a good record on Rioli same reason he played on , and beat Ballantyne
I would have played Bower as insurance for Franklin

If Hendo was going to be forward he wont be missed because Hammer provides more in a contested mark situation . If he going back he will be missed
I like Collo cant see why he couldnt get a game in front of others
Bootsma obviously there for his defensive efforts

I always tip Carlton and thats why I never do any good in tipping comps

I didnt tip them this week first time ever

Big test for Watto on Roughy.
Gibson to play on Hampson and get 25 kicks ala Scarlett few weeks back.

Sorry to see Collins dumped and what's with the three ruckmen? But the Hawks aren't that good. They have no midfield pace, no rucks and no backline. Rioli and Franklin can play a bit, and Mitchell is a ball magnet, but if we lose this one there are no excuses. The Hawks have lots of ordinary players.

No Excuses, no injury whinges, no rolling out all the stats we led on unless it is the scoreboard.

We should win this one and if we don't we shouldn't hear the coaches cheering about us getting close. And for god's sake Ratts, don't sit at the back of the dugout waving your Carlton scarf. Do something to influence the performance!

I suspect that Yarran is not the sort of player that would ever perform impressively in the VFL. Not because he can't play, but because he seems to be a player who would struggle to mentally get himself "up" for playing at that level. But if fit and in the senior side, we know what he can do.

No, it was the seconds coach who went to town on him.

He's not paid to cheerlead.

His efforts in the magoos sound suspiciously like his last half of the season efforts in the WAFL and that wasn't a matter of getting "up".

I would've swapped Garlett for Collins but other than we don't have many options unfortunately. Not unless you want to start trying the youngsters or think blokes like Lucas will suddenly start hitting targets at AFL level.

I'll cut Yarran some slack because by the sounds of it none of the 2's were to impressive last week

Thought Collins was one of the few that showed something for the NB last Saturday :banghead:

Neither player is going to make much difference. They're both below average. The fact that they're our only choices should illustrate just how bad our forward stocks are.

Garlett is better on the MCG. I would have picked him. Covers a lot of ground and at the moment is learning to play his position a bit different with the tweaks in our gamestyle.

Yaz is touch and go. Never going to look good when half fit. When fit and in form the same mannerisms are seen as classy. Reckon his foot is still crook and last weeks game with the Northern was just a fitness test.
I doubt he will play and Collins will come in for him.

Russell was limping around with a bad leg at half time last saturday. Bandage around his hammy. Once cooled down i doubt he felt too good. If he plays for Northern this week i will be surprised.

The selections are not as bad as some are making them out to be. I doubt any team selected would please TC posters at the present time.

I would like to see Dale get a run soon. He will be a good player for us in the future.

We should run a book on how many posters we get and who gets them
