I'm now of the opinion we've made a huge mistake in making this game seem like a ace for someone at a boardroom vote on Ratt's future.

When i hear phrases like, "certain board members" and "influential Carlton backers" it makes me want to spew.

There's none of this shite at the Pies, Cats, Hawks or WCE.

If we lost today I'll no doubt be calling for Ratts' head on a pike, but only in a moment of fury and lack of thinking. The fact is that if we were to sakc Ratts, we'll do more harm than good. The guy has improved the ladder position and the team's performance each year, and gradually the players are starting to understand what it means to play to a structured plan. To bring in someone new with different styles and strategies would be just as likely to have us drop a rung as it is to improve us.

I'm with you Donnie. I've been a Ratts doubter, but surely he's shown that he's on the right track.

Farnkly, I want to be a supporter of a club that does the right thing and conduct's itself in accordance with a sense of decency.

Signing Ratts is the right thing to do, do it now!!!!

True, I will likewise probably be super angry wanting everyone sacked if we lose today, till tomorrow morning at least.

If we don't win, it will mean either something catastrophic has happened injury wise or we have guys who have choked on the big stage. If its the latter better to find out now than in a prelim/GF.

Obviously Essendon* could play fantastically well, but we have been the better side over the year, so if we lose it shows when it hits the big time we have guys who go to water a drop their output from the H&A season, and they must be moved on.

If and thats a big if. we don't win today I really don't know what to think... 3 years and the same position I will want change, even though I am a fan of Ratts and I know there is no one better on the market that can slip in and do the job.

But we will win so its a non-issue

Now can we have some peace and solidarity behind the players, Coach and club please for the remainder of 2011 and beyond?

Regards Cazzesman

I thought Ratts still had to win an interstate final to show that the team had improved from the last two years

Signed, sealed and delivered.

Next step in his evolution is getting the boys up for the Eagles after a lot of emotional build up to today's game.

Well, if we were the Libs we would still be out of the eight, tanking for draft picks

Cazzeman it was the club that said he had to win a final to get a pass mark in the last year of his contract.
The club has achieved this. Now Ratts can pay his house off.
