c'mon ... I've got a set of nail clippers here with more footy IQ than curnow.

there's no point having a big tank if he can't shut down his man -- which he's failed to in two games this season -- and if he can't get his hands on the footy. And of the few times he does somehow manage to get the pill, I openly cringe and gasp at what atrocities with the ball he's about to commit.

the only player worse than curnow right now is rowe.

don't care about his repeat efforts and his supposed tank

he is a rubbish footballer and should have been dropped a long time ago

the longer players like him remain in the team, the longer our resurgence will take

pretty simple really

and this is one of the many reasons I believe he'd be ideal for us.
just want to say that i don't want any change in coach until years end.
that would be riddikalus.

Just seen the interview on MM and he was saying
Free agents don't wont to come to us and that we are
a bottom to mid team so why are we trying to get
free agent players we so be loading up with young kids
through the draft . This club is always trying to go for a
quick fixes lets just bite the bullet and a full clean out
rebuild trade some senior players just get as many draft
picks as possible and a whole new coaching panel.

We got ourselves a free agent: Fale Thomas. 700k a year. That's looking like another inspired decision.

Meanwhile our best forwards are let go. Joke of a club.

..BG I'm a roosy fan too, but in terms of getting a playing list to die for the coach, he is on par with malty.. ..tanking combined with crap culture has ruined both clubs and getting in the messiah coach is just another quick fix attempt which won't work.. ..here, or there.. ..it will take years to correct the damage done, and roosy doesn't want to put in the hard yards longterm..

so, prio to the season he states that he cant see where we would lose a game,, now he turns around and says his coaching ability is fine, but we dont have the cattle....

ummmm, play buckley, rainbow rather than carazzo and let us see for ourselves...

too many mixed messages coming from him now that he is challenged, just like he did when at collingwood

I rate Mark Maclure's opinions. But beg to differ with him on whether the club has the guts to sack Mick.
IMO it's more a case of does the club have the guts to stand firm on their commitment to review Mick's contract later in the year. I for one hope they do that and not be panicked into making hasty decisions.

Maclure has become a cartoon of himself. He is not helping the club with his 'rent a quote' comments.

If there is nothing else to learn from the drug cheats its that unity seems to deliver results.

Over simplified viewpoint; Malthouse has adjusted tactics to better suit the list, and brought in competition for spots so certain players meet minimum standards.

He must have lowered the bar considerably.

I think consistency of effort is the key element. Tutt is a backup and Jones is a work in progress who could bob up for significant contributions as a tall.

Jaksch is talented and hard working, so is Smith. The pieces are there, but they weren't going to appear overnight with players who are not established senior types. It does make some of our blokes look over their shoulder a bit more and work harder. Look at Buckley, lok at DVR, look at Byrne, look at White, look at Docherty, Tuohy, Casboult, Watson, Armfield.

All pulling their finger out. Buckley and Armfield have lifted their efforts and will come in next week, 5% here and there is a lot to take from this, but to see us catch up to where we need to be might take some time.
