Im sure they will welcome Ratts being the resident Carlton specialist.Commenting on all Carlton stuff....
Maybe Ratts can comment about footy styles and gameplan break downs....analysing the games on the weekend for us. .....

They could always give you a call to cover all the same points. Or easier still they could save the call and read it here over and over and over.

Says the broken broken record ....

Am sick of all the negativity and post rarely so thought I would post this link sent to me via Twitter this afternoon. Was not a fan of Malthouse to Carlton but surely this bloke enthusiasm and expereince cannot be ignored.

This.
Can we just stop all the bickering about Ratts and focus on the future?
Mick is the coach now.

Love or hate Mick, I have no doubts he will put 100% into Carlton and want to extract the maximum he can out of the playing group, hoping that equals premiership success.

This is a bloke who knows how to reach the pinnacle (or at least give yourself a shot at glory), and if he has the passion to see a term through at least 3 years, so be it.

He will have no problem dealing with the ire of some Carlton faithful. This is a guy who had to endure the most feral of ferals at Collingwood and if any club knows how to go feral, it's them. They have Carlton beat (and we can get pretty feral).

Malthouse is the best available guy who actually wants to do the job, to get the best out of the current list plus any additions to it.

I will support him and the club no matter what.

Heck, I supported Pagan even when things turned to shit, then supported Ratten until probably midway through this year when I, like many, knew that his time was up (and even then supported him until the season was over).

Sport is a business. People come, people go. Support for the club should always remain.

Just got a letter from Mick

He told me he is in commencing officially in the role on 1 November

He wants the players to dream big :!: :smoking:

He also mentioned he doesn't want people standing behind him. He wants people standing next to him.

Anyone else receive the letter :?:

No Ox? What of the cattle? Do we have the cattle standing next to him? Do we need people standing next to him? Why can't they sit? Or run?

No no Doc, he's moved on from the Ox and the cattle and mother earth. He's gone SuperZen now...it's all about IT.

Of course I don't know what IT is. Wish he'd have told me in my letter.

Ratts needn't worry. There's plenty of jobs going. He's sure to land one of them. Corowa-Rutherglen, Nar Nar Goon, Bacchus Marsh, Ocean Grove, Bairnsdale, North Ballarat Women's, Moyston Willaura....the list goes on.

Does he even need to work? Sheesh, take a year off, full pay with the new born. Some people would be so lucky.
