Old news to some, no doubt, but there's plenty of buzz in Northern FL circles this weekend suggesting that Cameron, and the Clokes as a clan, are WA-bound, on the back of Travis moving to Freo.

So the whole family follows their 25yo interstate when he moves for work?

There's a report in the Hun that a couple of guys in the leadership group aren't happy with the idea of taking a pay cut to try accommodate Cloke.

That's fair enough IMO. If the pay cut was for a quality player coming across for below market value then yes, but for a player coming across purely for the $$$, no way. Why would you accept taking less money for a guy coming who's no. 1 priority is the $$$?

Sure we can get him for no draft picks through new free agency rules, but what's a 6yr $4-5m contract going to cost us long term for a guy who is worth maybe 3/4 of that?

Ultimately, that's the million dollar question (pun intended). And the answer probably simply is if we win a Flag with him, it's worth it, and if we don't, maybe it's not. And even if we do win a Flag with him, impossible to know if we would have won one without him. Although if he kicks 60 goals for the year and bags five in the GF, you'd say he'd played a big part.

For those saying no to Cloke.

Anyone of Hampson/Mitchell/Casboult/Rowe/Lynch, who combined will cost less than Cloke.

..Clokes much more CHF than FF in my opinion anyways.. ..and that's if we actually play a FF, if we do it's obviously Eggy Betts.. ..i think it's only Mitchell as a developing FF, Walker's our best option i reckon but he works well in the middle and across half fwd too so am not sure what malty will do with him.. ..if we go with the idea of our relief ruck playing FF then Hampson or Levi i guess, though they may play FP.. ..Malty used 3 talls in his prem year..
