The game is close to being sold out. Only tickets left are in the Olympic stand, top deck. Those who intended to turn up tomorrow night and get in without a reserved seat may be disappointed. Just booked tickets myself.

Pity their home game is Rnd 1, and ours is the return bout in Round 18 once their season is shot, and the memberships have been microwaved.

Not only must Hammer bring the ball to ground to bring in the smalls, but to prevent the opposition backs from taking uncontested marks as Gibson and 1 or 2 others did throughout last year.

With 3 talls in the backline and Laidler on the bench I can see Thornton being released into the forwardline to stretch the Tiggers defence.

Waite Thornton Kreuzer/Hampson will be a handful...let alone Betts and Garlett with Robbo/ Gibbs.

We went down by less than a kick last game against the WCE, and we have Waite, Kreuzer and Gibbs back.

It will all come together this year.

Great to see Laids in. Kid is a gem.
Richmond will stick with us early but I believe we'll be too strong in the end.
Yes the tiges are improving but we're clearly a class above.

Can't wait to get to the G tomorrow night! Go blues!

interesting that tigers have only gone in with 1 ruckman meaning that vickery will need to spend time in there.

Vickery is their second ruckman... we have Kreuz and Hammer, they have Maric and Vickery. I thick they'll play that way all year, as most teams will...

Bower at CHB ... Yikes.

Relax BBW ... all is good.

I don't know what I see in Bower that obviously many don't, but I want to go on record one
more time : This bloke will be a gun. I reckon that by the middle of the season his praises
will be sung long and loud.

And it starts tomorrow.

YEAH!!!!

+1. He was a gun in 2009 (being talked up as All Australian at one stage) and the last 2 years it has only been injuries that have got to him. He will be back bigger and better.

Regards Cazzesman

disappointed for mclean that he didn't make the team. Outside of that, not too many complaints about the team. Great to see laidler named.

Bring on tomorrow night!

There's a bit of run in that back line. They have two and a half talls and we have Yarran, Bower, Touhy and Armfield, all of whom love to run it. Of those, all except for Bower are seriously quick so I think we can expect a fair bit of run and carry from them. I hopw we use the corridor a bit more this year as it also means we will defend it a bit better.

Garry 'Nostradamus' Lyon tipped the Tigers.
Surely that's the kiss of death for them.

We will smash them! I don't see why everyone is stressing. We flogged them last year and will do the same again. Please, have faith in the boys.

I AM CARLTON

P.S I am back for another year :P

OMEN ALERT.

 This morning, driving in to work, flipped from SEN during a boring bit, and put it on ABC FM.
'Jerusalem' was playing.
iI won't go into the co-incidences around this amazing song in my life, but, I just knew we'd be alright when I heard it, and I thought that my dad will have the best view of the game ever.

Now, the cynics among you might say, William Blake wrote those words, and his most famous piece is Tyger Tyger burning bright etc. Yes..but..I take that as a clue that the omen relates to tonights game, and as the song Jerusalem speaks of endurance and courage, and has always been a positive sign in my life..
I say

We Win. no worries.

Everyone's been talking about our backline outs, but look at what Richmond have to offer:

HB: B.Houli J.Post C.Newman
B: S.Morris A.Rance D.Grimes

We have no excuses this week not to kick a winning score against this backline, even without Walker there. Win in the midfield, take our chances and we'll be right.
