nail on head about converting opportunites Synbad - has been our achilles heel.

We would have been comfortably top 3-4 had it not been for some poor kicking against Geelong, Saints, Hawks and the draw v Bombers.

We will get enough shots to win the game but we need to convert.

PS
It's absolutely bucketing down here. Maybe a wise move to keep Hammer under wraps for now.

Maybe we expect Cox to pull out.

No great surprises... the team will be selected on Saturday and will be weather dependent.

Chief even like older times.

With the oldtime posters on board you might be due for one of your headaches again Chief.

Like Carrots as a defensive fwd on Hurn, might jag a few too.

Thrilled to see Tuohy in, really suited to finals and Subi.

Yep, if dry Hammer for Davies.

If we bring our A game, no reason we can't win.

If Cox is in Hammer will play, if Cox is pulled out Hammer won't be needed.

We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious. Naming Henderson at CHF. Sneaky little Rattenses. Wicked, tricksy, false

How do we ensure we know WC final team before we submit ours?

finals will not be won in the air.
its a big ground.
run and pressure is what we need to do.
they win if it's static game.
we cant afford to be on the back foot and have them dictate the tone of the game.
we must use the open spaces to our advantage.
big ground suits us.
we have a ripper record there and we are well supported.

interestingly their greatest strength should be their achilles heal.
too tall for the big game and lacking pace.

just do the basics and we win.

run hard ,spread well and pressure them.
oh and must convert our opportunities.
take some controlled risks and keep our heads.

its finals .

I think we should have them!

oh and thanks for the greetings I'm wiping a tear off the cheek as I'm typing this.

:p

Mate I aggree 100% with everything you just said.

Run and carry! It's how we destroyed Essendon* last week and it's what we DIDN'T do against the Eagles last time!

(oh - and Welcome Back)

Touhuy = wild card

Not much exposed form for the opposition to focus on.

Great skills, hard at it, understands the game like he's played it all his life.

and in the Irish tradition a little unpredictable anyway.

Take 2 sheets over to them, one with Hampson the other with Davies, and ask them to show us theirs first.

Change Hammer's name by deed poll to Marcus Davies tomorrow morning.

That way, we can leave it right up until the final bounce to decide which Marcus Davies we put out there. Hey, it's no more dodgy than what the GWS recruiters are doing.
