I actually didn't see Blueman's tip for this game. I know he reckons we'll get smashed by st kilda though. I bet he tipped this one. And look - it came on the weekend of the commemoration of a war. If the world runs out of petrol the flag is ours! After we get smashed by the saints of course

Yep and plenty of us haven't forgotten about many posters @#$% stupid knee jerk reaction. If you don't understand the game then just ask.

I've played the game for 5 yrs so there is a possibility I know the game more than you.

I have us getting badly beaten by the Saints.

But obviously if we play like we did today - this looks less likely..

As fas as I am concerned - the sooner Carlton becomes a force again - the better

why lock it when you can continue to allow people to make fools of themselves?

Seems pretty simple.

If we lose stamp feet and scream "sack the coach".

If we win be happy with the coach.

Been happening since day one in pretty much every sport. Boring !

Well your posts would indicate otherwise. If you know about the game you might have understood what Ratten is trying to instil into the side. You also might have realised that the sad result against Essendon* was purely a crap effort by the players across the board. If you have played the game you should know that 98% of the result is between the ears.

Good point Cazz...but then wouldn't any coach be just as good as any other? Where is the line between average and above average player managers in your astute opinion?

I have played sports all my life and aussie rules for five years and in all this time its the coach who ensures the players are appropriately motivated and Ratts dropped his guard against the Bombers as much as the players...you cant sack players but can certainly sack an underperforming coach.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't always make it drink. If you have played a cross section of sports you would realise that in team sports these moments at some stage of a season are probable.

Yes no doubt about it - here's hoping the Essendon* game was an abberation...looks like it...but the coach being untouchable is pure bs.

How do you know Cazz didn't play Aussie Rules for 10 years?

Would that mean he knows twice as much as you?

If it were happening week after week I'd agree with you. But the players were soley responsible that night. You can label the coach all you want but at the end of the day where was the pride in the players performance?
