A hobby Verbs? You've posted 15,000 times and all of impeccably similar standard. I am embarrassed about the number of times I post, and usually when I post I have something vaguely intelligent to say. 15,000 posts verbs, and I thought Fev needed help. There has to be a compulsive posters anonymous somewhere surely.

That post right there speaks more about your insecurities than it does anything about me. The fact you thought it, typed it and hit submit is concerning.

Really?...Thought it was at least as bad as reported.

Well if you look at it Fev was the one with the crownie and Cooney looked to knock it
from his hand...landed on the carpet and that was it!!
Hardly earth shattering stuff

Wouldn't emapthy be feeling sorry for Fevola? Can't say I even feel that to be honest. It's an incident which has no real meaning in my life, and I'm amazed it has so much meaning in other people's lives. If I was mates with Fevola I probably would feel empathy, a little bit. Not a great amount though.

..partly.. ..you could also feel some empathy for the people that had to put up with his sordid behaviour.. ..some of which has been not been made readily available to the public at large, which makes you wonder exactly what Fev really got up to..

But that's my point. Just because some of it was reported in the paper why should I? What about the thousands of other people confronted by other drunk people every weekend that's not spoon fed to me by the Herald Sun?

On Monday night, he was exposed to all of the dimwits that think his brand of comedy is amusing. The fact that people think it was somewhat humourous is a blight on society.

So all the people that found that funny last night are dimwits and a blight on society. Ouch....that was a very uneducated call.

It's the footy shows fault. It's crowns fault. It's his team mates fault. It's channel 7's fault and channel 9 too.
Besides, what man with 2 kids and a pregnant wife doesn't try to "grope a few hotties" Apparently it's perfectly normal behaviour.
And let's forget the best, anyone who doesn't have the same low standards as some here, isn't a true supporter!

It's amazing what stupidity we'll accept and make excuses for because someone can kick a leather ball.

That's assuming these people think it's an issue to start with, BV. The problem is that many people on these forums that support football genuinly think it's okay to 'grope the chicks' and act like a flog. They actually use people like Fev as an icon of life.

And when you think about it, Fev is just a bogan who can play footy, not a footy player who's become a bogan.

Monday night wasn't about Fev the footballer.
Monday night was about Brendan Fevola, a man like many people who has a very serious drinking problem.

The AFL invites somebody who they had to kick out of Ireland because of his drinking and then invite him to a function where the alcohol would be flowing freely.
You could see during the count that he was carrying on too far, thumbs down and silly comments.

This is where the support for Brendan failed - His wife just left him, people from the club around him, Crown just kept on serving him more fuel and channel 9 give him a microphone and follow him around everywhere waiting for something funny to happen, but when things got out of hand somebody decided to pull the plug. Any person could have seen it was not going to end well. Somebody from the club, maybe Gregg Swan should of had Brendan removed before it got out of hand. We all know from his past history that alcohol and Brendan don't mix, something always bad happens.

The Juddy finger in the ear pressure point Steven Seagal was funny but Brendan just didn't know when to stop , no one is condoning all the other things Brendan did Monday night.

Brendon, if you ever read this, join AA and never touch the stuff again.

Silliest part was not how much he drank, probably not more than usual, it was drinking with antibiotics and painkillers from his shoulder operation in his system. That was the dumbest part. He shouldn't drink with those in his system that's for sure.

Without the media I wouldn't know about it, thus I do need the media if I am to feel empathy for those poor little people who got upset. If a female friend of mine was groped by Fevola, and she was upset by that, I'd be pissed off with Fevola. If he slapped me in the face or drunkenly abused me I'd be a little annoyed too. But what he gets up to in his private life, and every other Carlton player for that matter, certainly isn't going to keep me awake at night fretting.

Gotcha verbs.

So because Pol Pot didn't torture you or your family....no problem. You don't know about it, therefore you don't care  .

I'm sure you'll be able to slag me off with some witty abuse, but I'm really confused verbs.

Lets see if I have this correct. You aren't worried about the club penalising Fev, it doesn't worry you what went on but you are amazed at the amount of gossip about the subject and how people keep going on about it and making it an issue.

Yet at the same time, this thread is running at roughly the rate of 1 in 4 posts being yours. It seems that you are the main cause of the storm thats in the teacup.

What planet are you on? You can spend time and energy hating Fevola all you want, and if you want to compare him to Pol Pot go right ahead. Good for you.

..i agree, what ppl do in their private life [behind closed doors etc etc] i don't care about, provided no-one's hurt.. ....firstly though, brownlow isn't exactly what i'd call private, and secondly even if a person [anyone] did what you suggested in your example, if i knew about it i'd feel a bit sorry for you guys.. ..maybe not enough to 'lose sleep over', but i'd feel a bit bad even though i don't really know you..

.. ..actually, i think it's more in relation to our posts regarding empathy, and the having vs not having of it.. ..he's not actually comparing fevalenko to pol-potalenko.. ..more-so the idea that you only care about what happens to you, and those closest to you..

Rubbish. Using that extreme was foolish and idiotic and proved nothing what-so-ever.

I'll change my tune if Fevola is arrested for a crime. Until then I'll keep turning my nose up at the gossip mongers and high horse jockeys.

..true, an exaggerration used to highlight/emphasise the point he was making.. ..but, a crime need not be commited to feel empathy about a given situation..

I seriously love Fev but the time has finally come to at least assess what may be on offer for him on the trade table.

I cant see us winning a flag as long as Fev is at the club.

The worst part for me on Monday night was the complete lack of respect he showed to Juddy... what a flower peanut.

THE CLUB IS BIGGER THAN ANY INDIVIDUAL!!!
