nobody .. says hes not..

but the players were not fans of mitch and garlett .. starting with judd...

whos saying malthouse wanted to keep him but the players mutineed?

just he(they) was never going to get more chances because they fell off with their peers.. first of all judd.

lol
are you arguing with that???

No.

So maybe this is how your original post should have looked.

Sounds like everyone came to the same conclusion at about the same time.

whats my original post look like??

he lost the players starting with judd... so even if the coaches may have wanted to play him... the players didnt want him along side of them...
lol

coaches might always be tempted to play somebody... but not if the playing group have been rubbed the wrong way with you...
waite was more or less in the same group only more senior...

but its good players took stands on weak links...

nobody says this is not now not malthouse's group... three years is enough...
what happened before has a bearing on where were at... but malthouse must stand up this year

one thing is for sure... he has the players in his corner... which will cause headaches to move him on.

even if the club wants to move him on... theyre going to have to grow some pretty big testies.. something they dont have .

only a disaster of a season will move him on in my opionion.. because this board isnt overly endowed

ok the big boys of the board like mick
there are some minor rumblings from the little guys of the board...

theyre afraid to sign him in case it goes belly up.... and they look like dicks...
they would want to make a statement end of the year in case its another failure.. and we lose another 3 million dollars like last year

and then there are the players... who mostly back him..

that to me is just another thing to keep an eye on...

micks playing his cards beautifully and much more masterfully than the board ... who are hoping we make the eight or show signs of improvement...as not have to make a hard decision...

If MM spruiks the same sort of scheissen with the same sort of tone to his players, as he does at his pressers, I reckon the players would be seriously pissed off, confused, or bored.

But I'm sure he only talks like that to the media, and not his charges.

Yep.
I dont recall him having any sympathy for the previous assistant coaches. If they're good enough, they'll keep their jobs.
He's worried about his own reputation. Everyone else is secondary.
Its not a @#$%&! charity. The coaching group are exceptionally well paid and we should expect results.

Just shut up and do your job Mick.

Dead right Cimm.

Maybe it's because we don't have a no flower policy, and MM is a flower.
That sort of stuff should remain in house.
Furthermore the club doesn't revolve around the assistants and it's inevitable they will leave one day ie it's not a lifetime job. They work on a contract basis and agree to it. We measure them by their results. It's only round 1 and all the assistants should feel responsible for such a weak showing in round 1... Yeah right lets sign them up for another 3 years after that performance...all of them...and MM is their conductor

assurances

and in many ways dont underestimate judds influence around the club decisions

Absolutely, given he's one of the rare Carlton people with a sense of professionalism.

He has won Brownlows and most important a flag and knows what it takes.

Judd publicly implored Waite to stay.

MM made no secret of his frustrations with Robinson from year one.

I've no problem if the players have an opinion but you are still try to diminish MM's say in all this.

Personally, I don't care. That's what coaches are paid for .
If a club appoints a coach they should give him everything he needs to succeed and support him 100%.

It's the only way they can succeed and, if they don't , they get boned.
