Missing out on Tomlinson, can't help but think we'll do a Sam Rowe and get a mature KPF from VFL or interstate leagues, using a later draft pick or via PSD.

Hope the draft gurus around here can throw up a few names??

Might pick Mitch Brown in the PSD. Had a terrific year in the VFL and looks to have improved alot.

My only concern is the one Agro outlined above. We have nothing left to trade next year. That said, I don't think SOS had much option given the state of the list.

yeah, we had to clean house ... we still have a bunch of deadwood. but we also need to field a team.

as of today and pencil in weitering as a definite, we have a bottom 3 list, maybe even the worst list in the AFL.

I thought the dogs were a bottom 4 list going into last season, and the eagles not much higher (so did many "experts" around the afl too). But we all saw what good coaching and getting players to buy into the scheme can do.

lets hope bolton and co. can have that kind of effect on this group.

I was thinking that too. Mitch Brown if he lasts to the PSD?

Maybe if we spoke to him and guaranteed him a spot. Can do that no we know no-one of ability from the AFL is walking into the PSD. I know we can commit to players early if you have no.1 pick and have them train with you.

Braithy, maybe you should check out the highlights of Sumner on Youtube because he has the potential to be the best recruit of all the GWS boys if he stays injury free...

He's going to go in the national draft, if we want to pick him up it's just a question of if someone bids on SOS before pick 59.

Sorry, this should be before pick 45, at least as the order currently stands (it updates live on the night, and the half of the second and third rounds are set to disappear by the time 25-30 players are off the board).

Saw lots of kerridge at the crows when I did a 6-month work contract out that way. hence the carrazzo-lite comparison. in fact there's lots of replication in Whiley and kerrdige. Basically, both have tanks and that's it.

Lamb plays on ball or on the HFF. Jones tries to be a tall forward. Not sure why you are comparing them.

Kerridge is quicker to dispose of the ball than Whiley; greater scoring threat as well. A significant upgrade.

the comparison is that they're spuds.

whiley is tougher, runs through contact & more durable. they both have tanks and both don't think their way out of trouble very well and turn it over.

a significant upgrade? jesus. wait until he's played a few games before we mount that horse and ride it into town.

there's a reason these guys were fringe at best players on their respective lists. hoping any of these guys are going to be better then anything we have (outside of plowman, who could put it together) is drinking the karlton kool aid, as they say...

I wonder if we might look at Michael Hartley as a potential rookie? Mature age key defender, made the VFL team of the year at CHB.

Hawks have delisted Sam Grimley and Port have delisted Andrew Moore.
Either worth looking at?

You obviously haven't seen them much.

Kerridge has missed a large part of football with foot, ankle and hamstring injuries since 2014 alone. Not because he's not good enough to play.

jimmae picked that. He's backed this choice consistently as a rookie. I like. Kicks goals when Jones Warnock Watson don't. That's a change for the better.

I would of been keen on Grimley but the fact he was delisted and they took on Fitzpatrick from Dees isn't to encouraging.

He was on the rookie list, might have flagged an intention to leave to seek more senior opportunities, something Fitzpatrick might not be as expectant of.

Waited his turn for 6 years and Schoenmakers has stolen his regular role it would seem.
