Of course, that's what makes Eddie McGuire and his team great leaders for the coll fc.. As a business theyre run beautifully as much as i dont like giving the pies a rap.

Balanced view?
That's not balance. It's closed minded ignorance. What is closed minded ignorance? That I have a view about management consultants methodology that does not concur with yours? Sorry mate but you havent read my initial premise or perhaps you are just getting forgetful

As for your ridiculous ascertion that I am biased to Leading Teams, Leading who? I dont believe i even singled them out. As you are aware I believe that they are all similar in their approach

that's as uninformed as the rest of your posts in this thread. Pretty arrogant statement. Quite revealing really- are we to believe that you are any better informed

I couldn't care which organisation we get in. But I do believe most areas of people management are best handled by those who have the best results and the runs on the board. Who is that? Sounds like a pitch to get rifd of everyone in the current setup.

Just expecting the players to learn it themselves is foolish. Who said that- you must have dreamt it

Whether the club get's Leading Teams or any other organisation is irrelevant to me. The key is to do their homework and get the best people. LOL its an easy game isnt it- you just have to do that! What do you think every club is trying to do?

Even their own key drivers outlined this year demonstrate the fact they realise they are deficient.
Even they can see it and you can't. Go figure. Please enlighten me about what you are talking about

3 in 22 sounds better, but I can see why you wouldn't use that.

Hell ... you want to go the whole hog ... lets say 3 in 30 years as a coach. Compare that to Clarkson ... 3 in 7 years ... then it looks a bit shabby ... but eh ... I'm on board with the Super Duper former Collingwood Coach. Stick with him for another 10 years ... no matter what!

Viva the Madhouse!.

Sick of hearing the excuses of mm
* inherited a bad list - no he did not. He did not inherit a bottom 6 list. He has got rid of a lot of players, brought in players.
* leadership at the club - i think the leaders we had are gone now in brock, heath, waite, eddie, laids. If you watched them play they were always giving directions to younger players.
* any other excuses?

you can make a lot of excuses but if he doesn't deliver this yr then he isnt worth another 3 million extension. When malthouse has won flags it has been with a team that has a spine down the middle. We dont have a spine from end to end. Maybe in A few yrs but not now. In my view he isnt worth keeping around simply based on this club needs another rebuild in a couple yrs with more of our top 10 players retiring. Gibbs, murph, walker, simmo, judd, rowe, carrote just to name a few that will be early 30s in a few yrs. If our window is open that is great. But unlikely. Why waste money on him

He is the 1st coach in a long while that is recruiting and developing accountable types. For too long players have played for their own glory. Even Judd came out of retirement with the emphasis the club has finally put on getting rid of time wasters.

What you fail to acknowledge Goltz is that Malthouse inherited an OK list without absolutely nothing coming through. No kids, no young players and a raft of draft picks that failed to deliver. Since we have recruited Cripps, Menzel, docherty, Jaksch and hopefully beginning to turn the tide. As supporters we tend to blind ourselves to the reality that there are 18 other teams all vying to play finals and put themselves on the line each week.

We've treaded water the last couple of years because we've had nothing coming through! Apart from our established players, where other teams get better and better.

Hopefully we'll start seeing a correction in that area in the next few years.

Fingers crossed for a great game tonight!

An ok list that he will take to quality IMO. That's the difference.

Judging by the shit he served up tonight........ GAWN.

And he can take everybody with him. Baker especially. And our forwards coach too (do we have one). Deplorable.

I can't stand this playing the wing flooding back bullshit. It's taken us back to the ugly style of play we had in the Pagan era.

Wheres the positives tonight? stop living in fantasy land, this shit has to stop. Clubs gone backwards and hopefully the delusional on this site stop sniffing the good stuff and the carlton board make the right call soon.

If you honestly think he told the players to snatch at the ball and play the same brand of insular, chook-headed bullshit we've since the Pagan-era, you're kidding yourself. That was the players tonight, fragile egos and reactive thinkers.

He can only reinforce the message so much, they have to believe.

Disagree.

This is just crap football and our players are capable of playing better than that. I believe we as a club just aren't developing them properly.

With that said, it's Not only MM's fault - i think 90% of the club needs change. I haven't seen anything positive come out of John Baker or Brad Green as assistant coaches.
Who are our development coaches because we draft kids who look good and then they just go backwards.

IMHO, Trigg needs to clear everybody out and start again. A full re-build with a view to 3-5 years into the future. Cause we aren't quite in a re-build, nor are we a challenger. We're half & Half and that's exactly where we are hurting. It's costing us memberships, it's (probably) costing us sponsorship, and it's certainly not gaining us any respect among the football world.

I gave MM the benefit of the doubt last year due to injuries, but i was hoping he would dish up something better than the shit he did tonight.
Where was the corridor game we were promised from the NAB pre-season? Where was faith? It's almost like we stumbled for a moment in the 2nd quarter and we pressed the panic button. All forwards go defensive!

Dissapointing.
