Menzel was a little lost last week, I like the kid, but Brock in Menzel out.

McInnes should consider himspelf pretty lucky he has been poor lately.

I think this is how it will play out. Considering the opposition and the expected conditions, Brock would be invaluable (if fit).

Menz would've gained a lot out of being out there on sunday, and showed good touch despite limited time and opportunities. His time will come. But this week is the time for seasoned, experienced professionals to get the job done.

You'd think the Swans would be too big and too slow; that's how the Hawks exposed them last week.... and the week before, something we should learn from. They'll try and go for stoppages, to slow the game down, but if our stoppage work from the second half of the Richmond game is any indication, it might be to the Swans detriment. Need clean, quick movement of the footy.

Quick movement, but also precision in our F50 delivery. We were fortunate against Richmond that we were able to take multiple contested marks from our long bombs. The Swans will not allow the same leeway, and rushed delivery will come straight back.

Just back from training. Brock moved really well, although had repeated animated conversations with Justin Cordy and Doc Baressi. Did some repeat 20 metre sprints along the boundary and showed no discomfort. Kicked the ball well and followed through. He looks right - and after last week - you'd have to trust him on this one. I'd play him.

Based on this I hope they pick Brock.
Sure there must be some doubt over his fitness however his clean hands, clever reading of the play and gut running will be invaluable against Sydney. Providing he pulls up OK from training we should roll the dice and play him.

Quote:
Sydney has gone over a month without any rain in the gauge, but showers could hit Saturday football finals.

All Sydney suburbs have endured the last 35 days with less than 1mm, with many suburbs remaining completely dry. Penrith has been amongst the driest, with no day recording more than 1mm in the past 75 days. This extended dry spell in western Sydney, and in the lower Blue Mountains, played a significant role in this week's bushfires.

However, this will come to an end overnight and into Saturday with the arrival of a band of rain due to a low pressure trough.

Patchy rain is likely to develop in Sydney during the evening, with the entire basin expected to get periods of rain overnight.

On Saturday rain will continue through much of the morning, meaning that the ground will be pretty wet for the NRL double header at Allianz Stadium and the Swans v Carlton game at ANZ Stadium.

Thankfully for the fans the heaviest and most consistent rain is likely to move offshore with a deepening low pressure system around the middle of the day, allowing the sun to produce a warm afternoon. This low should then direct the odd shower onto the Sydney coastline, possibly getting the raincoats out at the NRL in the late afternoon or evening.

I would play him. It's a final. We need some grunt work against this mob...it's gonna be tight in close.

Even a half out of Brock would be better than a quarter out of Menzel.

Kreuz is obviously a big out, but better I think not to take the risk. I'm sick of seeing him get wrecked when not 100%.

Great opportunity for the Bolt to show us what he's made of.

..played him most of last year thru injury as well, we haven't had a good injury free run with krooz pre-knee unfortunately, last time he was proper fit in a final he did this.........

If Brock comes in for Menzel it makes an interesting decision for Sub.

Brock is certainly a possibility but perhaps Armfield with his pace would be a better option.

Hopefully Hendo has a shot this time rather than give it off to Garlett...

Usually chops us up a bit too.

The bigger ANZ Stadium should suit us more then the Swans, who would ve loved it had this game been played at the SCG.

Once again, we ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain....

Do us proud Blue boys!!!

So I tipped us by 22 points last week - I'm going for 26 points this week.
