Yes. But we are in the eight and carrazxo isn't even in the side. Amazing
And Judd isn't a huge influence. Murphy has a foot injury. Our leading goal scorer has hardly played.

We went into panic last year.

I'd say even though we lost to stkilda this year and last ten years... We are on safer ground.

What do you think?

We have beaten some very weak teams ... GWS, Brisbane ... even Port and this inflates our optimism ... and we have lost to some middle of the road teams like Richmond and StKilda (Saints are dreadful and we should be embarrassed at that loss). The win against West Coast was probably our best but even there they had a stack of players out. We beat a crappy side like Brisbane by 2 goals.

I don't think we are going particularly well ... I hope I am wrong but time will tell.

Happy to be more positive about the MC and MM if we do well over the next 4 matches.

Winning form is winning form.. Doesn't matter who the opponents have been.
Would people rather we be in red hot form now and peter out at the pointy end of the season like we did in 2011 ?

We lost to weak teams last year and you didn't raise a whimper.
You said it was because of carrots going down.
What's come over you this year ?
We're not falling in a hole because carrots is out but this year you're demanding excellence from the coaches.

Losing to stkilda is poor I agree but that has more to do with the mental state of our team rather than injuries out the three rucks.
Our players jump at shadows often and they need to discover how to win..
.
They will...

Hmmm ... I was upset when we lost last year ... go back and have a look if u can be bothered. I counted 13 players out at one stage ... it was not just Carrots ... so I was less critical. I can point you at that particular part of the season if you want.

You asked me how I thought we were going ... I gave you an answer based on who we had played ... just my opinion ... with some evidence to support it. I can say no more. I hope the next 4 games will really take us forward. I am glad we won against some of the worst teams in the comp (except the Saints of course) ... so we should have. Our wins tho ... have been less than convincing.

If we lose the next 4 ... the season will be a disaster. If we win 3 of the 4 ... then we start smiling.

Go Bluebaggers.

nothing about this year will be a disaster

players being developed and growing

others being found out

the groundwork is being laid on the road to recovery from 5 years of miserable waste

the end of year cull and transition from a ratten list to a malthouse list will be intriguing.

this year isnt about a premisership - its about setting past wrongs right

Absolutely disagree.

If we finish out of the 8 ... an unmitigated disaster.

That St Kilda can get so much into our heads and beat us is really disappointing - maybe not a disaster but very very disappointing - it will tell Mick just how brittle and flaky out playing group is.

A playing group that 2 years ago was within 1 kick of a prelim ... I guess it all depends on your perspective.

IMO ... I believe we have a very talented side ... a side that should push hard into the finals. For me .. it would be devastating if we don't make the 8 ... For me ... even not making the top 4 is a big fat FAIL (provided we don't get smashed with injuries).

A very stark and positive reduced reliance on Judd and Murphy. I like it.

But last year carrazzo was injured and we fell into a heap.

Takes time to fix mental trauma.

Oops. I'd completely forgotten that we were within one kick of a prelim. Thanks. I've just jumped on to Sportingbet and put $1,000 ON US STRAIGHT UP FOR THE FLAG!

Woohoo! I'm gonna win a fortune!!!

shit , why havent we won a flag yet

hanging our hat on that 1 finals win

against an insipid Essendon* team

then lost to a team that didnt make the finals the year before

the hole 1 kick from a prelim thing is ridiculous

it doesnt mean we had everything right or have a premiership list

our list is unbalanced , we have numerous over rated players and we have severely lacked any kind of development program over the past 5 years.

its no co-incidence that we are seeing players blossom this year that most would have happily written off under the past coaching regime

process
