Could make an argument for Lucas, Robinson and Yarran just as well as you could against them.

Joseph's 20 minutes have been inoffensive.

The rest...........Scarecrow, 6am, Visy Park tomorrow morning.

Yarran? It was his man green that nailed us early on. and when he gets the ball? Look at his turnover rate.......eeeek!

Similar thoughts. On one hand, he was the only one remotely reliable out of defence. On the other, Green smashed us.

Scary thought - it was our best side, with exception of Jeffie G, ,Laidler, Warnock and perhaps Bell (Waite can't be counted on)

So it was our best side but with almost 1/4 of it out?

You lost me when you thought Yarran was good

Now; I'm furious!

Our players lack of intensity/effort was disgusting.

I'm hoping that was the plan, not to overdo the intensity. God I hope that's the case. Lions looked a few weeks more advanced in preparation. Forward line delivery and strutchere a worry. Backing will be ok if intensity lifts. No idea which talls should be in forward line . Kreuz was good, no one else was .

You might want to re-read that. Not that it has anything to do with your earlier statement.

But didn't the long bombs to a heavily outnumbered forward take you back? I felt younger again...

The funny thing is, if we had won tonight most would be on here telling all the optimists that it doesn't mean shit!

And it doesn't..... I don't expect the guys to be nailing the game plan for some weeks yet, so why should I expect it now? I think this NAB Cup with the interchange cap suits younger players and not those seasoned for massive amounts of rotations.

Wait until the season proper starts and Mick starts his 436 rotations per game, different story altogether.

Pagan days. They knew we would kick long all over the ground so they just waited for it. Terrible gameplan. We are horrible to watch.

Having said that, who knows what we have been doing this week to prepare for round 1. Heavy training by the looks of things. They were much better prepared for this game.

And Collingwood must be totally [REDACTED]!!

Thrashed by Brisbane, and pumped by Geelong who got flogged by Freo a couple of weeks ago.

Seriously, do we ever learn that none of this comp means much?

It certainly looks like the end of the world when you come 2nd in an 18 team competition.
