The article in yesterday's Age was quite interesting. It detailed emails between the ACCC and US business associate/rival of Pratt updating the US connection on the case. Why? Who was really pulling the strings? And why did the prosecution's lawyer Kerri Judd (must be made to change their name) not want anything being made public that would put Pratt in a good light? Is this a criminal court case or a PR exercise? Smells like fish to me.

I reckon Graeme Samuals is more of a 'crook' than Pratt.

No, seriously.............. this is OUR money that is funding this case.

There are FAR GREATER problems that the ACCC can be investigating on 'Behalf of the people'.

How about you get to work guys............. it's a very tricky situation for alot of families right now and this Samuals git is off on his own personal agenda and has the nerve to say he's doing it on behalf of the Australian people.

I know which man i have more respect for.

Work out how much Dick "stole" from you and I'll send you a cheque.

Hmm, let's see...

Between Visy and Amcor, I'm probably owed $21.45. So let's just say Dick owes me $11.00.

But now that the cartel has been broken, prices on packaged goods have decreased, right? No, they haven't? At all? Hmm, maybe the Fosters Group owes me money then. And Cadbury Schweppes. Bloody criminals.

Anyway, let's stick with that $11.00 and work out what Dick owes me.

DEBIT:
$11.00
CREDIT:
$$20,000.00 (the amount he's put into the CFC, divided by the number of members)

SHIT. Looks like I owe Dick $19,989.00

So a person who objects to a billionaire ripping off ordinary citizens is obviously a card-carrying Republican????

Get a grip .

And, by the way, kkk happens to be my initials and has no relevance to my politics, which I would suggest would be to the left of all of you.

I always hated when friends would suggest during the political ascendency of Pig Iron Bob or Easter Island Mal, or the Carlton Presidencies of Ian Rice or John Elliott how Carlton were the "footballing wing" of the Liberal Party.

Your defence of the indefensible in regard to Richard Pratt seems to confirm their contention that Carlton supporters are willing to overlook anything on the basis that money forgives all sins.

Well said, except that emotional last paragraph; you cast dispersions on all of us. I for one does not agree.

Let it go. This is not doing anyone any good. Focus on the opposition, and leave politics and religion in other threads/ forums.

You're frolicking in Patrick Smith's domain: no man's land, and nothing to do with footballers and their sacrifices.

Yeah, best to keep political discussions down in 'stuff'.

I'd be very surprised to see RP return to the CFC Presidency.

Looking forward to Fatprick Smith demanding that QANTAS divest itself of all sporting sponsorships such as the Socceroos etc in light of its conviction for price fixing allegations.

I apologise for including you (and blameless others) in my admittedly broad generalisation.

I'll try to keep my peace, although some posters apparently cannot resist denigrating my ethics to justify their lack of same.

Maybe it might be best just for me not to open this thread, athough I don't resile from my position.

There's ten privately owned Sydney petrol stations that are openly advertising their price fixing this morning in the papers, on tv and on radio.

Looking forward to Mr Samuel releasing the hounds.

Oh wait that's right - it's petrol, the great untouchable.
