Seriously?

I am asking the question.

So if it's not mentioned on TC it doesn't matter. FFS.

Interesting when Judd was asked on SEN today whether the Blues plight was due to bad drafting or poor player development, Judd answered "Just drafting"

I knew we had [REDACTED] up our 2009-11 drafts but for that type of acknowledgement from an insider is an eye-opener!

Judd indicated that without those 21-24 year olds coming through we don't have sufficient talent and depth.

Not a massive revelation, we all know the mistakes made, but sad to hear from a Carlton person in a public forum

Geez we're shit...

You're not asking any question - not just because it's 5 weeks into the season and implying DVR is already a bad pick is a ridiculous implication; but because you're once again big noting yourself by telling us how great you thought Touk Miller was at the time, despite not making a single mention of him amongst literally thousands of posts which include references to players you did think were good at the time. Just as you did with your Paul Seedsman hindsight.

Rhino that's pathetic. Why am I not asking the questions? That's the way I read it. Never said DVR was no good. On reflection just wondering why we picked a HBF rather than a mid when we are supposedly rebuilding and given we have a few mobile defenders.

Like I said if we haven't mentioned it on TC it can't be true. or what's even more pathetic is people researching a forum for information just to try and put people down. Just scary. :screwy:

We don't need any more inside mids. DVR is a quality half back distributor who gets the ball to his targets quickly which is exactly what we need.
He'll take time but he'll make it.

Maybe they view him as capable of playing midfield or performing roles beyond "half back flanker", or perhaps he was just the best available at that particular selection?

Instead it reads as you patting yourself on the back for spotting how great Touk Miller is and how shit the club is for not picking him.

If you didn't constantly either contradict your earlier positions or make fanciful claims of being a Hindsight Hero with absolutely no evidence to support it, perhaps your posts wouldn't require constant "verification needed". Remember the time someone quoted your posts as CJ69 completely contradicting your current views and you claimed it wasn't you?

Simmo and Carrazzo should no longer be considered in our best 22.

Oh Rhino that's just sad.

I don't know whats sadder, the fact that you remember things I wrote a long time ago or the fact you can't accept people change their minds.

Whatever it is I have no idea what you have written before, good or bad. I simply don't care.

People change their minds.

They also pretend it was someone else who said it, or make fanciful unverifiable claims, or get really snippy when someone calls them on it.

You're the Belle Gibson of football forums.

Still peeved we didn't take Connor Blakely. Mark my words the kid is a natural talent that would be in our best 22 already if drafted. Killing it in the WAFL due to Freo being undefeated in the seniors.
With Freo in the premiership window maybe they'd swap Murph, Gibbs, Hendo or Kreuz for him???

We all know that the drafting/list management has been poor however it is a bit superficial to just blame that.

You would normally expect more natural progression with young players and some semblance of team structure to have occurred by now. We just don't see it.

As a team, we've gone backwards more than any other team over the past couple of years - we looked ok at the end of 2014 but any semblence of structure/development appears to have disappeared again.

You have reached a new low for even this site. You can pull a few posts out of 1000's I have written and interpret them in a way to suit you but to compare me to someone you claims to have been a cancer survivor is a so pathetic I cannot find the right words.

Well done.

exactly, well said 4th
our senior team has regressed substantially so how are we supposed to develop our youth
our game plan (seniors/vfl) inhibits development, instinct and natural progression this is a big factor we are falling further behind and our drafting looks more pathetic than other clubs or what it really is
most players picked have a capacity to play a role and given the right environment and become good contributors, unfortunately our situation hinders this extremely important aspect in a players development which is a complete indictment on our coaching and development department.

Even an All Australian backline would struggle to stop opposition forwards when the ball is coming in so often, and with so little pressure.

With that said, I think our backline list actually isn't so bad:

Henderson, Jaksch, Docherty, Byrne*, Tuohy, Yarran...

Remains to be seen whether DvR and Giles come good, but they seem to be in the exact mould of the type of player we need: quick, agile, creative, excellent delivery.

*need to get games into this kid.

Pretty sure Belle Gibson responded to requests for verification of claims, evidence and justification with overtly emotive responses and damnation too.

Way to prove me wrong.

We need goal kickers. We should be in the ear of players like North's Waite, Betts at Adelaide and Garlett at the Demons.
