Terrible decisions by the MRP, especially the Henderson one. Still, we do want Hawthorn to smash West Coast Friday night so not all bad.

Sorry Spornstar but really we are not good enough at the moment and will only make up the numbers in the 8 ( hope I am wrong) The way i feel I hope the Weagles smash them.

Don't really agree. We aren't good enough but we're also not far off it- have been in every single game this year. If we are good enough to make it I don't think we will be making up the numbers, no more than anyone else in the bottom half of the 8 is. Could/should easily be 9-3. The only reason we are not is mental. Lets hope we can fix that up as the season progresses .

I do agree about loathing Hawthorn though. Their fans are disgustingly cocky these days.

1981 GF I think it was.
Parko said to the boys,
"When they hit one of our little blokes, which they will, I want everybody to punch the player he is standing next to."
Bordolotto decked Cloke and pointed to Alex Marcou who had just been decked.

BTW, I reckon the MRC got it right.
Got off the forst and a suspended sentence for the second. The problem was Hendo's. He should have gone down like Brazilian soccer player and Hodge would have got ten weeks.

Why wouldn't they bash us up?

We don't understand the art of war.

Its a war.... Same kind of leaders are needed... Same tactics... Its not the corporate world where different kinds of leaders are in place.... This is a physical competition.

Only one way will break the mould...... We are not winners.

One hawthorn playmaker had to not walk off that ground Friday night.

Who cares about tribunal retribution..... We got bullied and it will continue to happen...

Birchell Burgoyne had to be in that ambulance alongside Murphy... Not even a remonstration.

We deserve it !

This is absolutely spot on. Dermis said it over the w/e - maybe Friday night, that the rest of the competition think of Carlton as a soft team. We need our line in the sand game and as Synbad said, we needed to take out one of their players. At some stage we need to show we aren't that soft team we have been for the last decade now.

Richmond, Essendon* & Collingwood used to make it a sport to try and deck one of our Mosquito Fleet back in the early 80's, it wasnt a game against Essendon* unless Marcou or Glasscott were carried off on a stretcher.

But we had blokes like Fitzy, Maclure, Wow Jones, Wayne Johnston, Jim Buckley who could give as good as they got and if one of ours went down then the other side would get it back in equal measure.

We just havent had any blokes like that playing for us in 10 years.

Great! Seriously. The hit on Murphy was superb. I don't care who he 'hits'. From a purely football perspective that was fantastic. Had Hodge been suspended, I would have been on here saying what a joke it was. Only some Carlton people had a problem with it because their Captain got injured in the process.

Hodge isn't big. But he is tough. I would give my left testicle to have him playing for Carlton.

..yes, krooz softened Jolly's ribs.. ..a few years ago he fractured pears [or was it hookers?] leg in a marking contest as well.. ..Krooz will crunch players if he gets the chance, but he still does it 'fairly'.. ..others will see an opportunity to run thru a player, with real intent to hurt.. ..i think krooz crunches ppl more cos he goes as hard as he can in the action, but he doesnt go in with intent to hurt..

Kreuz does hit players hard. Watched him off the ball against Essendon* and he smacked Carlisle a beauty. Had him sucking in air on his haunches.

Saw him run through a contest against GWS and some poor Giants kid was in his way. Next second he was on the floor wondering what had hit him.

..you dont need to go the whack, especially when things go against you like hawks will, which is seriously lousy.. ..but you need to stand up and resist when you get stood over, and we dont.. ..hawks and saints have been bullying us for several years and it's their basic tactic to beat us, and it works.. ..we let our captain get targeted.. ..murphy copped it pre-judd, then it was judd, now murphy again.. ..we don't even help them out with their tagger scragging them, let alone defend them vs targeted aggression..

You only need to do it one time.
You do it to the bully who does it to you,
No good running to the teacher.....

You do need to go the whack in hawthorns case.
Nothing else will work. Its what they have been conditioned to recognize.

They only do it to weaker clubs.....
Stand up they will go the whack again.
Put a bullseye and bounty to birchall and Burgoyne they will change their tune.

Hawthorn have been reared on a diet of physical intimidation sucking it out of Dermot tsn teat.

Even buddy tries to lame small guys....

If Hodge challenged that tribunal ruling it means he wanted a rest all along.
As I said...

Looks like Hodge has been found not guilty on the Henderson charge ...... He was basically trying to avoid Roughead

In other words ...... shove that up your @rSe Carlton
