Hey I went in to bat for Agro Jnr on Sunday when a Collingwood feral in the AFL Members wanted to go him after he got a bit enthusiastic after Andy's 3rd goal.

Just hope Agro Jnr isn't drafted to Carlton then!

Sure, if you can recalibrate the TC fraternity, we have a deal!

I think we tackled pretty well overall. It was wet, trouble is the tackles we missed were costly.

Although I'm sure Harry O'Brien is either

a) made of soap or
b) has an invisible force field around him or
c) stinks.

One bicep of Harry is bigger than Lucas and Boots combined.

He is a hard man to stop when he gets going.

He had the ball for one play, fell over, got on his knees for what seemed a week, got up and ran past 4 of our guys who looked like they were giving him high fives then kicks it through them (along the ground!!!) to his guy 40m out directly in front!!!

Slight exaggeration.

It is stupid. It is also stupid to abandon a game plan that we know works against certain teams.

Maybe Mick should introduce his style slowly over a number of weeks while getting some early wins on the board. But it's a long season and it should all start to come together by round 10.

It's a start, if he can start to draw two defenders and direct the ball to a small forward from a spoil then he is heading in the right direction - but yes needs to do this consistently.

Yes, this perplexed me too. We were on top, so I don't know why positions were changed.

..agree, but handy isn't enough,, and not what we needed.. ..it's not as if some outside pace and skill and fwd threat was lacking on our list.. ..and these kinds of flashy flankers as good as they are, need to play in a meat and potatoes team to get the very best out of them..

..while he's developing, the Menz should be focusing on improving his in and under, contested ball winning ability.. ..and toughen up his core, cos he won't be able to truely count on his team-mates [just yet, hoping this will change]..

Off the top of my head, he was involved in at least 3 goals - 2 from direct crumbs & another from a strong mark/immediate give in the midfield.

Certainly agree that casboult needs to do a lot more though. Have little doubt that it will come in time.

..if he's constantly being double teamed and we're hoping he can tap to another player, than we're just going in circles.. ..his contested marking is good, his ability to crash packs [and hurt ppl] is great, but if he's not super super fit, doesn't have smart fwd running patterns, and is playing alongside other up and comers,, he's always gonna be up against it.. ....and there's zero improvement in his kicking over an entire off-season.. ..no adjustments in technique at all..
