I wouldn't say he's bitter.

But he's not Carlton coach any more, and what happens with pre-season, assistant appointments, etc from now doesn't have anything to do with him.

Whilst he's unemployed, Ratten can say whatever he wants about whomever he wants if someone asks his opinion.

That is right Verbs. Besides he has hardly shot his mouth off.
He was a bit bemused by the Arizona thing. Probably could have said nothing but didnt really say much in the end.
He didnt really say anything about the Riley thing either. Just said we should sort it out. Riley is his mate so he is sticking up for him. Showing a bit of loyalty. No big deal.

Hope he gets a good gig and does well in it.

Unless you know the details of Ratten's severance package, you don't really know what he should/shouldn't be saying.

Although if it were me, I'd just throw the media a standard 'I'm looking forward and as such not commenting on the Carlton football club type response. They'd soon stop asking.

Yes I already talked about that piece of shit article.
1. Have you read it? The headline bears no relevance to the article.
2. The article is made up of a bunch of out of context responses to listeners' questions.

In short, it's rubbish.

I read the article and he offered an opinion. The press are asking him the questions because they know they will get some sort of response.
If Sticks was any kind of leader he should tap him on the shoulder and say Rats shut the flower up and move on.

Not sure his sacking has now prevented him from having an opinion.

Regards Cazzesman

I am staggered that none of the TV or Radio stations did not snap him up for his opinion on finals footy considering his opinion is much sought after.

He can come in TC and have all the opinion he likes Cazzesman.

Opinions in the media by ex coaches sour about not being given even more of a cha nce.. when he had too much of one in the first place compromises Ratten and what he thinks.

For instance.... Juddy... he had 5 years to make someon e else captain.
I think he harbours bitterness towards Juddy anyway....

Couple of things.

1. Why would anyone waste their time taking notice of anything Caroline Wilson says or writes?

2. Malthouse said on Saturday night that if Judd wants to be captain he's got the job. But he also wants to build the leadership group. Wonder if Gibbs will be on it?

Why would i be taing the piss?
Ratts a club favourite ex coach is commentin g on everything to do with Carlton.... he is bitter.

The murmuring around the club is that the players were not behind him... ANOTHER reason why the club had to make a change.

Judd as captain not doing a Cazzesman ... is one reason why Ratts is cmmenting about captaincy....

But Ratts should remember what he did to PAgan as captain and as a Carlton person under Pagan.

Ratts should just zip it....!!!

I think synbad has some sand in his bvd's that is annoying him today.
He's crankier than normal and that is tough to beat.

Isn't the saying "less is sometimes more"?

He used it perfectly in his exit speech.

If Brett Ratten is making such an arse of himself, there is sure to be a lengthy discussion about that on 360 tonight, also on Insider and big write ups in the Herald-Sun and The Age too.

Looking forward to the reaction and analysis.

Im sure they will welcome Ratts being the resident Carlton specialist.Commenting on all Carlton stuff....
Maybe Ratts can comment about footy styles and gameplan break downs....analysing the games on the weekend for us. .....

What are the chances he will be asked?
