We need a tight tag on Lenny. If we can hold him to 60 dream team points I should scrape home with a narrow league win and stay top of the ladder.

That or Robbo to kick a bag.

2E on Milne would be great viewing.

Blues by 35-50.

Gibbs is a gun. Period.

Who do you reckon the Saints will use to tag GIBBS?

One thing to say.
Incentive to win? We go top of the ladder.

Sousage , i dont see your point.
Were talking AFL greatness .. youre talking about your mate who played a dozen games and youre holding him up as an example of how you know more about footy than others.. (somehow.. but im not joining your dots to get you)

Listen... what we need to do at Carlton is get players to play at the next level up..
Not just play AFL footy...

There is no reason why someone like Gibbs cant be bettter than what he is.

Other clubs have players who bust through the glass ceiling and become very. very effective players.
Essendon* have Job and Stanton.
Collingwood have Swann etc.

These were not considered safe top picks when drafted... they just willed themselves to a higher level.

Oh and welcome to TC.

Brng your mate here too... we need more footy experrts... especially REAL footy experts.!!!... guys who have played a dozen AFL games and their mate.

It is sort of like what Carazzo has done at Carlton.

Not a big game performer.
The bigger and hotter the game the more his technical deficiencies mean his skill executions fall apart.

Hes ok against the sides we flatten.

Thats not what its about though.

How do Swan, Stanton and Jobe go in big games? In the finals I have see them play they have been ordinary.
Mick Malthouse reckons Swan cost him a flag last year and if my memory serves me correctly Carazzo played on Jobe in last years final and smashed him.
Stanton has played in one tight game this year when he had a hard tag and an Irishman smashed him as well.
Do you watch footy or just sit in front of the computer?

Well i would have thought Essendon* against Carlton was a big game and not a flat track bully win to the Dons.

Yeah , they go alright......

Unless YOU think were a nothing game against the Dons???

Just go back and watch hard contested and hot games.

Carrazzo struggles with his disposal and his effective output.

Youre selling (especially Job Watson) short.

Hes an outstanding footballer.

Not many would choose Carrazzo over Watson.Watson was a massive turn over merchant by foot. He has just turned his career around and is an out and out gun.
He has improved every aspect of his game.. and is a monster inside.

You cannot compare Carrazzo to Watson.

Swan is not ordinary in big games. LOL

As for stanton.. what he does .. is he just runs and runs and runs.. and if it hurts .. he keeps pushing himself harder.

Probably something we need frommore of our guys.

Essendon* thought it was important enough to take Carrazzo out of the game just a few weeks ago because he was going to play on Jobe.
You must have missed that. Your football knowledge is questionable at best.

The one thing that annoys me about Carlton forums is how much everyone overestimates our side! Like how we all thought a 10 goal win was a given against the scum. Wow, what a dose if reality we got that day!

Tonights game wont be easy and if we stay complacent like the last few games, we might be in for another dose of reality!!!

No Essendon* took the game on with a ruthless edge.

you must be very naive to believe Essendon* planned that tackle.

Carrazzo was there.. he was tackled.. he was smashed... the MRP didnt see anything..

they smashed us...!!!.. all day!!

Theyre doing very well... doing much better than most people thought they would.

And were still screaming and bitching about it like teen schoolgirls...

That isnt so much about the tackle but a reflection on how the Bombers are going about their footy.

They have just learnt to grow a hard edge....

No I don't like it!
But what I don't like even more is that our boys don't show that ruthlessness...

I have no problem with the tackle and no problem with there intent.
They targeted Carazzo because they knew he could do the job on Jobe.
We have lost the clearances in every game since that game with Carazzo absent, tonight if he was playing it would have been onto Dal Santo for another hiding.
Hopefully someone else can do it.

Still catching up I think,
He's back now though.

It's all good in April/May, until they display it in September, what does it gain?

Last I checked they beat the Eagles last year as well.

They targetted Carrazzo and not Judd or Murphy.. yeah right...!!

you learn something every day.

Look, it could have been Russell or Joseph... if they were there.. they would have copped the same.

Look this whole bitching and moaning thing is very embarassing.

We should have lost that game by 10 goals... !!!

We lost a tagger... we have others.

But the game is about getting your hands on the ball.. and executing what you want to do better than the opposition.

Ok, last time i checked we lost to the Eagles two times.. and they were coming off a wooden spoon.

Last time i checked.. noone expected Essendon* to make the eight last year or this year.

So the point is theyre not treading water right???
