Laidler? Thought he was out for a few more weeks.

Our named team is significantly better than their named team.

x 2

We have the depth to get by Richmond. We will work our way into form over the next few weeks.

Can't wait - taken the day off work so that I can get to the Pub at 4:45pm to watch it live

Gee, still looks a pretty good side. Laidler will go back and Thornton forward I'd say.

Am thinking that Laidler may have a week off and Davies will come in

Bit scary when he gets the ball but he's a good match-up against the Tigers as long as he's not on Riewoldt. Not as if the rest are scary.

Sorry 17th, I hope your not serious about this statement.
Like Jack, Waite takes the best defender.
Unlike Jack he plays more mobile, applies more pressure, hardly ever out marked and brings his team mates into the game and alot more agile when the ball is on the ground.
Jack is a good full forward but that's it.
Waite can and has played on ball, KP forward and KP defence.
When Waite is in form ( if you can have a look at last years Geelong game ) I don't think any defender can restrict his output.
Yes he is injury prone.
Yes he has brain fades, but there is no way you could rate Riewoldt better than Waite.

I agree with you. However, objectively, I suspect many others would pick Jack ahead of Waite if they had the choice b/w the two of them right now. I would argue Waite is better and more valuable (certainly more versatile).
The point is we are still a much better team than them, even with the injuries. AS LONG AS WE PERFORM SOMEONE NEAR OUR CAPABILITY!!

Bower was AA centre half back as a junior. He has had a BIG pre season and was rewarded so. Lets get behind the kid! Did anyone see training today? I saw pics of Laidler on the track but did he move?

If I pretend Bower is a solid and reliable defender who will beat his opponent 1v1 at least 50% of the time, I am surprisingly pleased with that backline lol

Hopefully stars align for us throughout the year and Duigan, Jamison and Waite have an injury free season from here. I think those 3 names are the key to our club going into the top 4 this season. Solid defence, great target up forward who can supply the little guys too.

Agree. Don`t see the point in naming him.

Guessing Lucas is the sub again then. Collins and McLean stiff.

Slightly worried that should we have an ordinary performance, we rush back Jamo, Duigan, Warnock and maybe Walker and Ellard back in next week.

We should win.

Half back line is a bit dodge
Laids was walking with no pain 2-3 weeks back so he may very well play but wouldn't put the house on it
Be interesting to see if JR on a wing is just smoke n mirrors or for real. I reckon he goes ok in midfield

I think what it shows, is that we now have some depth when you think about those still missing.

Bower will win more 1 on 1's than he loses. Fingers crossed those he loses won't result in goals

If our forwards can't run rings around their defense I'd be very surprised. The Tigers listed back 6, aside from Newman who is very good, are just ordinary players at best. Waity should play Post on a break. The 2 amigos will have tooooo much toe for their opponents. Clearances at stoppages are crucial and getting onballers back into defense to take space away from big Jack.

Regards Cazzesman
