It's probably for the best that i'm not allowed to ask a question to the board members tonight (6:30pm for those of you that have forgotten) because it would probably ONLY be about Pagan...........................

But......................................if the Mods could please somehow fit this question in.....................................?

My question is NOT "When, If or How" Pagan is gonna be sacked.

My Question is "What has Pagan done that the Board Members have been impressed with?"

Any chance at all i could get that one asked? (Mods?????? It's a fair enough question whilst still showing respect for their position? is it not?)

ryan, it's a no-win situation for board members to be commenting on pagan.

I think we all have to accept the fact that the club administration (with the consent of the board) will give pagan his marching orders in 7 weeks, and leave it at that.

all this gnashing of teeth over something that's going to happen inside of two months is just masochistic.

But we wanna know. If they turned around and said he will coach out the season and then be gone, then we would be very happy and excited about the future.....

Any talk of petitions is bullshit.

Have faith, the board is more than competent. Since they were elected we have seen major changes, it is time to show faith in them, be patient and things will happen. It may not happen in the timing or the manner that some on here want, however, we are talking about some seriously accomplished business people who know how to deal with situations.

Each of us is frustrated with where the club is at. How do you think that the board members feel? These guys give their time, money and life to our club. They have done the right thing at every turn since being elected - I for one am confident that they will continue to do so.

I can understand where your coming form John, but i'm just asking them to list some positives that THEY have been immpressed with in regards to Pagan.

I'm not asking for them to say "He's gone in 7 weeks".................Nor am i asking for their opinion IF he should stay or go.

All i'm asking for is for them to list some positives in his performence and achievments over the past 4.5 years.

I sometimes ponder if, in fact, i am much to negative in regards to Pagan (he's a two time Pemiership coach after all!) so i'm just asking for maybe a few points here and there to help me understand. I'm sure there has to be heaps!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell, I'll even start.......................... the 2 x Pre-Season Premierships and the Recruitment of Setanta & Aisakie!

Sadly, i've been Gnashing my teeth for 2 years now! Theres nothing "masochistic" about it..................i'm just a little confused!

All due respect but we as members are entitled to have a say. They want us to stick with the club and we do, but how long can something be so blatantly obvious and nothing gets done about it.

We need to know what is happening.

But I do understand what you are saying. I am tired of my club being ruined by that dictator Pagan.

Are you referring to the board members. That's who I'm referring to.

board members don't get paid for their time.

on the contrary, they're expected to generate significant revenue for club.

ryan/Fevola,

I love your passion and the fact that you want to be heard and you want something to change the fortunes of our club, but sometimes you have to accept that you're not going to be given a rundown on whats happening in life.

The club can't tell you whats happening, what their plans are. If they tell us they're telling the rest of the football world too.

Someone probably said it best, the board members know how you feel, they're Carlton supporters as well!

Last year the club wasn't in a position to make a change, and there is probably still a question over whether they could do it now. If they are planning to make a change at the end of the season, to announce that now would make it impossible for Pagan to see out the season. That may be what you want, but there could be some practical reasons why thats not best for the club. Again, they couldn't tell you what those reasons are. You need to place faith in the board and the football department.

You don't need to convince many of us his time is up and repeating yourself only detracts from what you're saying.

Be patient!

That is a brilliant post. Give it time, and things will happen.

If Carlton under Pagan wins another game this season, do you (the experienced prophets on TC) think Pagan would be sacked?

I am kind of under the impression that most people think that we are tanking now or at least playing the type of footy that will net us a priority pick in 7 weeks. So, if we win a game, will Pagan go immediately? I mean then the tanking argument is redundant and it must be about the future of the club.

What would winning one more game this season do to us?

Pagan will go no matter how many games we win. The time for change has come, too many rumours of discontent doing the rounds for their not be truth to some of them.

My query with Mckenna is that 8 months ago he applied for the St Kilda job and placed last in their selection process, a process which was detailed and proper like so many on here desire. IIRC it was Lyon first, with Bond a close second, followed by Longmire and then Mckenna.

I dunno what he has done in those 8 months to leap ahead of the others, or if we generally differ from the Saints' selection policies or whatever but its just a, albeit minor, drawback with him.

Being a ex West coast player makes Mckenna flavour of the year along with Sumich.....clubs are looking for the next Worsfold so these other ex West Coast wannabe coaches are getting rave reviews....I'm not so sure about them and I think Worsfold himself is proving to be more of a frontrunner than great tactical genius.....

Frontrunner? Worsfold took over a team which had finished 13th and 14th the previous two years, took them to 5 successive finals series including a flag and a near miss.

Please, please, please God can you send me a frontrunner coach like Worsfold to take over my ailing Club.
