As I said, that is not a fair question based on the history of TC. If it was a one off, fair enough, but it's been going on ad infinitum. Such a question is worthless in these circumstances, particularly because better posts have been ridiculed much worse with no comment in the past.

Politics is definitely your go. 53 words and you didn't say a damn thing. :-D

Regardless of how brilliant I am at politics, Frank wasn't offended, The Game didn't intend to offend (which was quite obivious in his initial post) and anyone who was offended by Frank being called a clown is mucking up relative to the "insults" flung around these parts since February last year.

Verbs do you think responding to a point of view calling someone a clown, tosser, idiot whatever makes TC a better site? Surely what we all want is robust debate without resorting to childish insults. And have to agree with John that I can never recall Frank ever personally insulting another poster so the argument about who started it is irrelevant.

Lets get real

some people hate TC

Deep down they hate the site, and thats why they revel in its faults and failures, but keep coming back.

Its a "I wish i wasn't on a net forum so often, but I can't look away" scenario.

The man who hates TC but visits it religiously, is really saying he hates himself

I can't stand double standards. Rules for some and not for others. Poor management. Unclear rules. Yadayadayada.

I like to voice dissatisfaction at some things, just like others rant about different things. That's the way the world works and tough if you don't like it, because I'm not going anywhere, and I'm not going to change. In fact, the more people tell me to shut up, the louder I'm going to become. And if you think I'm a nit picker, you ain't seen nothing yet!

It's Carlton I love.

But you still have a heart, verbs.. a heart that needs to be touched.

Its hard to touch your heart, verbs, while you have it in iron.

You can never truly football if you can't love yourself.

So verbs, your modus operandi is going to be to continually nitpick this fansite created for free by volunteers who get nothing out of it, for the benefit of you and people like you to talk about the carlton football club?

That's nice to know. But I wonder what you think this site is, exactly? Do you think you've somehow paid for a service and this site isn't delivering, and therefore this site somehow owes you?

Do you go into op-shops and bitch to the staff about the quality of the goods on sale?

Do you go to a fundraising sausage sizzle and complain about the bread not being sourdough?

It works like this:
You pay your taxes, you can complain about how the government spends them.

You buy a burger, you can complain if it's not cooked to your satisfaction.

Tell me exactly what you've done to qualify as Talking Carlton's Unofficial Nitpicker?

Where should I begin? Perhaps with how flawed what you've just said is?

As I said, you ain't seen nothing yet. Get prepared.

So you take pride in beng a deliberately unconstructive nit picker, and intend to do it more often, particlarly if criticised for it, just so you can annoy more people?

If that really is your attitude and intention, then can you give any reason why you should not simply be banned?

And that is a serious question.

I prefer to use what I consider to be common sense.

But re the topic, I believe Frank is quite correct, and Fevola would certainly know it. He had the option to tackle effectively without risking a citation.

That would mean there'd be tens upon tens of bannings for just about anything.

I think the fact that you did not answer the question is an answer in itself.

If you can show me where it's against the rules to nitpick, you'd be right. As it turns out you are wrong. Tough.
