Overly simplistic, God.

You're basing your strategy on the assumption that money is the overriding motivator behind a guy like JK.

We throw $700k at him and he's then supposed to turn around and burn his club and the players he's grown up with... the club that he'd think was on the verge of a great era?

Money on its own isn't going to land anybody anymore. These guys are getting excellent money where they are. When you're on 400k, is an extra 100 or 200 really going to make that much difference to your lifestyle? Especially to a bloke like Kossie who strikes me as a genuine, honest 'bloke's bloke (ie, the opposite of Nathan Brown) if that descriptor makes any sense.

Bigger picture - is the club being run intelligently enough? I'd say no. But I don't think Kossie was going to walk no matter how big the bag of cash we dangled in front of him was.

FFS Guys,

We did as well if not better than we are given credit for. Sure we could have snagged another player during the trade week, but at what cost? Would you have traded Fevola for pick 8 and a turd like Ray Hall? All that would have got us is an untried kid who would take up to 3 years to develop and a player on the scrapheap. Get real.

The Filth hardly even participated except offloading one of their duds to the Scum and their list is as bad as ours. Its about time we stopped reading the crap that journalists report and accept as gospel. As they say "Why let the facts get in the way of a good story"

I am often accused of being too optimistic particularly when it comes to matters Blue, but I am very positive about the refreshing of our list and am eager to see who we are gunna pickup in the forthcoming drafts.

It would be nice to see who else on this board shares these views and stops canning every friggin thing the club does. :P

Right on the mark Brizzy Blue, FFS - stop bagging the club.

The club did well to help convince Marc Murphy not too accept the move to Brisbane.

As stated above who really wanted pick 8 and a mongrel for Fev - What a joke, Fev is playing in the worst team in the comp and still manages to kick almost 50 goals. Many are saying that Thompson from the Kangaroos was th erecruit of the year! how many more goals did he kick than Fev? Not many, and how many times was he hit on the chest. We can't hit Fev on the chest if we were 40 metres in the clear.

The same people on this site criticize the club for picking up tried players from other clubs, this time we have almost kept all our picks for juniors and you're still not happy.

We were offered crap for Whitnal and Fev hence they are still with us.

Throw $700K at a player who spends more time at the physio than playing football!

It is this attitude what got us into the mess we are currently in.

Yeah Waldron go sign yourself a coach for $1m and then piss him off 16 weeks longer, and whilst your at it can you stop the exodus of class players from the Storm frog boy.

So why did Waldron hastily leave St kilda at a time when the club was on the rise and the finances were on the improve as well???
