I am pretty much with you Sinner.

Vossy has been rewarding VFL form so Doc has had 2 BOG's, and I suspect he comes in. Cinc needs a full run in the VFL for mine, as much as I am hanging out for him to get back in. Wilson or Ben Campo are going okay but I think Fossy is Fog fan.
Happy with Wilson and Campo to get a run after the bye.

In: TDK, Doc, Acres,
Out: Pittonet, Boyd (conc), Motlop, Evans

Saad, Weitering, O Hollands
Haynes, McGovern, Silvagni
Acres, Cripps, Walsh
E Hollands, McKay, White
Durdin, Curnow, Young

Foll: TDK, Cerra, Hewett
Int: Carroll, Doc, Lord, Binns
Sub: Fogerty

If SOS doesn't get up, then we have Young, Doc and Carroll to go back as required.

Regards Cazzesman

i'm not sure if doc is at the stage of his career where he gets a run based on ressies form?

he cannot run at the afl level... he's lost too much foot speed and doesn't have the tank to rack up an intense 12km.

maybe he could work as a back pocket, then used as last man back to prevent the whole them getting in behind us (as he would still have to be faster than weitering) but you wouldn't want him any higher up the ground. any higher and we literally are playing with a man down.

Surely he would make a better fist as a small forward than what we have at present.
Running around in twos racking up cheap stats at the back of the contest is not doing anyone any good.
Whack him forward for a couple of weeks in 2nd and see if he can hit the scoreboard

At the ground you could see that White is the quickest of the small forwards.
So many times he sprinted his guts out to be an option and he was ignored.
TV didn't show any of that work. Hard worker with speed. At least he has an assett.

He’ll be dropped next week. Along with Carroll. Bookmark it.
Our seniors play favourites both on and off the ground.

What do you mean, SB? If the senior players are ignoring younger players at the same expense of winning games, we have a VERY serious culture issue

Doc has forgotten how to win his own ball. His game in the VFL last week was no different to his AFL form. He was getting plenty of kicks from point kick ins or running past young players for the cheap handball, after they've done the hard work. The most contested possessions he's had in the AFL this year is 6. I'd suggest the coaches want him to get back to basics. Play on someone, win the contest and beat them. Like he did when he was consistently a great half back player.
It frustrates me to see someone like Harry O'Farrell doing the hard yards winning a contest and seeing Doc cruising past for the handball. It should be the other way around.
O'Farrell is the better kick anyway. I'd bring the kid in and give him the job on Cadman. We could do with his ball use.

I wouldn’t hesitate to back your assessment here… but, the oppo analysis on our blokes would know that they are all VERY limited by foot.

Squeaky bum syndrome. Boot it long down the line.

I thought White was ignored after he made good position.

White isnt the end product yet. I don't think he'll survive the cull at the end of the year with 18 players out of contract, and he is an LTI replacement for Kemp.

What I was impressed with is his gut running, speed and his creating an option. That's all I can say for the kid.

It’s a rookie deal for White, so he’s not really part of that churn.

We’re at the shit or get off the pot stage with Cincotta, so there’s at least one opening. Frankie’s days are numbered, so that’s two. I’m hopeful that we can secure Gresham & Ison on the cheap, but they’re looking like top 50 types, so they’ll be on the main list.

I think he survives.

Tough selections this week. With the bye coming up I'm inclined to be conservative and give anyone who is a test a fortnight to get themselves right (or to play a few more VFL games) before we reload for the second part of the season. Except TDK. I'm sure he's fine.

B: Haynes - Weitering - Docherty
HB: Saad - McGovern - Carroll
C: Binns - Cerra - Walsh
HF: Curnow - McKay - E. Hollands
F: Durdin - Lemmey - White
R: TDK - Hewett - Lord

INT: Young - O. Hollands - Motlop - Cripps

sub: Evans

Curnow to play as a half-forward who spends most of his time up the ground.
Lemmey to debut as his confidence will no doubt be high this week. He can play as the deepest forward.
Docherty to play as a lock-down back-pocket, with instructions to stay back and organise the defence.
Young plays as a tall untility player. Second ruck / additional tall defender / negative tall-forward forward on Taylor.
Walsh to stay out on a wing all day.
Cripps starts on the bench - we have to try and think of him as a weapon, not a workhorse. He can also spend some time up forward, perhaps releasing some of the quicker players onto the ball at times.

Has it been explained anywhere why this game is at 12.30 on a Saturday?

Does anyone remember when the AFL put us & the Hawks at 12:10 at PP in 99 or 2000?

Just to piss Elliott off I imagine

O'Farrell will debut this week, per coach Voss.

That's exciting, looking forward to seeing him.

It's Toby Greene's 250th, hope someone punches him.
