Got the fingers crossed but not a comfortable game , but then neither are Sydney nor GWS any easier.

Yes , there is no harder harder Coach to coach against than Ross Lyon . Ross has already started the mind games with his " they have made there bed and they have to lay in it . Well Ross , let me remind you that StKilda also have made there bed and must lay in it .

What bed? What’s the idiot talking about?

It was the reference to Sayers giving him the gig to coach Carlton only to have it overturned by the board . To my mind it was a backhanded swipe at Voss's ability as a coach .

PS ................ Ross is borderline crazy maybe but he aint an idiot .

Marshall will block TDK’s run at the centre bounce and Steele will have his birthday game on Cripps as usual. That’ll stop us from spreading out of the middle, so we’ll bomb it long.

They’ll clog the backline and slingshot, with pace, and Jack Higgins will kick 5.

Voss will alternate between the box and the boundary line and will look clueless irrespective of where he stands.

Last time we played St Kilda, Cripps had 30 possessions, 9 tackles, 8 clearances and 3 Brownlow votes. The time before he had 24 and 11 clearances. Jack Steele had 11 possessions and 1 clearance.
The game before Cripps had 34 and 3 Brownlow votes.

If that's Steele's birthday, he was given a turd as a present.
You need a break Des. You're just making stuff up to bag the coach now.

It was intended to be about the predictability of the outcome more so than the specifics.

Ironically, that game against the Saints and the one the previous week against the Eagles were the games I enjoyed most. It was a roller coaster and I never knew what to expect.

As for a break, I think from a footballing perspective I’m broken, which explains why I get no joy from it anymore. Maybe I just need to find something else.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if we win this. Can just see another 12 goals to 10 Lyon coaching class.

I wouldn't expect Cotters or JSOS to be right, & Williams with his history will surely get more than a week off.

So....potential ins Boyd Campo Binns. Replace some of the cumbersome types with them & we might be a chance. That was a pretty heavy side we fielded last week.

Massive game.
I don’t think we have it in us to repeat the run we had in the back end of 2023.
Therefore, we need to be doing at least 2-3 games better than 3-8 after 11 games. And we have the Saints, Sydney and GWS to come.
Which means we really need to win this or else our season is pretty much shot. No pressure.

BUT, if we can win this (and I believe we can), we’ll have won 4 of 5 and momentum is maintained going up to Sydney.

We were not switched on last week and our whole game fell apart. In every aspect.
I think the Crows basic strategy was to move the ball at lightning speed out of the contest (and not to be too cute about it) so that no player had the ball long enough to attract any pressure until it came out of congestion. And from there, we didn’t chase hard enough from behind and played dumb leaving our man to try to pressure from in front which created easy chains forward and loose men for them.
And then, we missed several easy spoils early on plus a few umpiring howlers early on and we dropped our bundle.

This week, if we can bring back the intensity we showed against the Cats, Ross won’t be able to stop us.
And Mots - if he plays - needs to get fined every time he gets in the way of a leading forward.
And McG - if he plays - needs to get fined every time he executes a lazy kick out of defence.
And any player who can’t see specifically who he is kicking it to, needs to get fined too.
And Harry and
Charlie need to be fitted with positive and positive charges so they can’t get too close to each other!

If Docherty remains in the team, he would need to be the sub so he can come on when everyone else is exhausted and maybe he will be able to keep up.

At least McStay won’t be there to play his one good game of the year!

Birds of a feather, so it seems.

That’s what I’m thinking.

The brief for Binns has to be ‘more run & handball, less uncontested mark on the boundary’. He’s got to get closer to the violence & draw the defenders to where the blokes up field can create something.

Young was ok, but just being ok in a side that was hammered is far from undroppable. As keen as I am on O’Farrell, he was a bit shit when the challenge was on in the last quarter. Wood, Caminiti, Sharman… it’s the best look he’s going to get. Still, we might get a better shift out of Boyd.

Yeah, Young had his moments but I'm sure I saw him pull out of backing back into a Crows forward at one stage.

Crows mark, goal.

You sure you have the right player? I would say there were at least another 2 or 3.

That's a shame about Cotters, thought we really missed him on the weekend.

Good news about JSOS.
Bad news about Cotters.
Cinc and Zac, call it a par.
Put a line through Fantasia and consider ourselves lucky we got so many games in 2024.

Fantasia's prognosis each week seems to be following the prime numbers sequence.

He’ll probably get a game before Tanner Bruhn, so…
