I think having a smaller team gave us the same ability on the weekend, we just have to be more damaging with the ball, we missed too many opportunities.
Plus playing on a smaller ground might not be to our detriment with a shorter, quicker team on the park.

100% going tall at marvel has killed us. this team on the weekend will buzz all over marvel with pressure.

If we win on Sunday then there's no place for Harry, Charlie or TDK!

haha. just about. i'm not sure any of them will be fit for the rest of the season (without further risk) unless we go deep into september.

i'm not sure any of them will be from the hawks game. fantasia is ready apparently and marchbank. but marchbank shouldn't get anywhere near the back 6 we used on sunday unless gov is injured.

I liked our mobility against Eagles.

Basically our 2 KPs were mobile talls Kennedy and Kemp.

Maybe if Harry comes in he plays 3rd tall

That’s my default setting. Desperately want the best but always extremely worried about the worst.

Rightly or wrongly, it’s the reality for me.

Just when you think you might be a chance.............

So Durdin, Gov and probably Williams (I'm not buying the just cramp line) all miss.

:banghead:

Do we need three talls in defence for this weekend? Probably better off giving Wilson a run, we need to keep Kemp forward.

Ideally Saad replaces Guv.

Is Paul Sebastiani reliable? Feels like every week Gov is a rumoured out, but it's only been true... checks afl tables... twice this year!

Durdin was the buzz in the forwardline. He will miss this week.

The other thing which was noticed was the energy of the players was really high.
They may have had an easy week on the track because we got plenty of players pressing forward for 4 quarters.

I will go and watch the replay now.

Other than the goal he kicked, I don't think Motlop gave us any buzz yesterday. He hasn't been damaging. He's not tall either

Hollands boys were amazing with their energy and support. They aren't tall.

I get what you mean about going too tall, but if Harry and Charlie are available, what would you do and what do you think the MC will do?

I'm expecting Harry to be back.

Harry replaces Durdin and Fantasia replaces Motlop - keep Moir as sub.

I'd be happy with that.

Really liked Kennedy and Kemp as mobile targets. They did a great job bringing the ball to ground against taller defenders.

If Harry does play I want him to stop Wilkie from taking easy marks. That's all. A goal or two will be helpful.

I was thinking about you at the game MPH. You were taking your dad.
The boys must have made you proud.

We will win again...because we have to.

As you know he does work with Terry and Pom at Blue Abroad, a panelist on the Jumper Punch and other Carlton social media forums and shares his views.

Paul works at SEN with Nic Negropontis. Mad Carlton fans.
Paul's main focus at SEN is horse racing.
Nevertheless, he has plenty of contacts at the club, and attends training now and then.

Ive spoken with him in the past and what he shared proved he does get inside word from track watchers and club people.
If Paolo says Gov may miss this week because of hammy tightness, there's a high chance he will miss.

Harry and Saad are likely to be available this week, along with Fantasia and Marchbank.

As far as tall defenders required, its for the folllowing:

Caminiti 196 was injured and we find out if he's fit to play this week
Membrey 188 has found a bit of form lately.
Sharman 193 is a strong mark and kicked a couple last week
Owens is 191 and a high leaping forward
Wood 192 went forward last week too

If Young plays FB on Caminiti, Weiters can take on 2nd KPD role on Sharman.
You can see from the above we still need cover for another tall and if Gov is out, it may well be Kemp, if Harry returns.
If not....Marchbank is back, but he's not in the form he was in last years Finals series.

Its their smalls that do the most damage on the scoreboard Higgins Wilson Butler and Steele.

Yep. He goes into contests half arsed. Even when he stuffs up he has this smirk on his face. i said it a few weeks ago, he looks like he is deliberately taking the piss.

I reckon any little paper cut, he sooks about it.

And he always tells team mates off and complains to the umps.
