Bring in Mirkov ready or not . Baptism of fire .

Please no.
He will be gassed by quarter time, and we will be carrying him.

I know ehere you are coming from Mickstar.

We may not have a choice.

Goldstein vs Jack...wouldn't like to see that.

Probably going to have to play Mirkov. Not sure I like the likes of Silvagni battling big blokes in the ruck.

As much as his time was up here it was where Levi was handy. He has he has been terrific so far for the GC. He is moving much better than he has for a couple of years. Anyway, I digress.

I've changed my mind about wholesale changes since we lost our first game this year.
I agree with 99prelim, there's no point rewarding mediocrity from our bottom six week in week out.

I have no problems with those changes.
If Carroll is elevated due to good form and Kennedy is fit again, add another one out ... Fisher, Owies, Setterfield, Durdin, take your pick.
Add Motlop.

Its North for goodness sake. Its a chance to build our percentage let alone win. We have to turnover our bottom 6...in our case we currently have problems with our bottom 8.

Carlton being Carlton though we'll likely cruise and win by 15-25pts.

I'd take that in a heartbeat jim...which is all I'll have left after that game...a singular heartbeat!!

Carlton being Carlton we'll probably get out to a 70 point lead and win by 5 points

My ins and outs for North

Stocker- Parks could happen if they feel Stocker has been playing well enough?
JSOS - Pitto I would expect JSOS to return and even if a Pittos injury is a corkie Pitto will miss at least 1
Kennedy - Newnes Could happen but would require Walsh to spend more time on the wing. At Marvel this may not be such an issue being a narrower ground compared to the MCG.
Carroll - Cotrell Could be a chance given Carrolls form the last 2 weeks. He does play HF/mid so might be a good show to happen. - exciting
Dow- Setterfield
Wont happen Firstly because Setterfield is playing OK ( I am not one who puts him in this supposed bottom 6) and two it is not a like for like change. Dow can't run the wing he does not have the endurance. Third I don't think Dows form in the VFL warrants selection.

That all looks possible but Kennedy to come in for Newnes and Carroll for Cottrell

Cross our fingers and hope that Pitto & Harry are right to go, as well as Kennedy & Silvagni.

Realistically, the ins can only come from Kennedy, Silvagni, Carroll, Dow, Stocker, Kemp, Plowman & Motlop.

- Setterfield should get life.
- Fisher’s last hurrah is the job that Cottrell has been picked for. Ironically, Cottrell might also be better at Fisher’s job.
- Newnes is a soldier, but there are at least four obvious candidates to offer over & above what he brings.
- Parks is probably as good as Plowman, which ought to worry him.
- Cottrell… I’m prepared to see more. Needs to get just a wee bit meaner.
- De Koning is playing a different sport. It’s not helpful.
- Boyd is a long way from Spotswood. He’s got heart, but he’s outmatched in every position.
- Durdin needs to get better at the hunt or he’s going to starve.
- Owies… I like what he brings, especially his pressure rate, but he’s really just a placeholder.
- Martin… I’m running low on ammo, bud. Need more pressure from a senior player.

I’m more curious as to who this week’s surprise injury will be…

Yeah... I'm sick of the random surprise injury every week either on teams day or match day.

I just checked. We actually beat them in 2020. Before that it was 2014 and they usually smack us by around 7 goals.

Expect Norf to be torched in the media too. They’ll be labeled shit, which might be an apt description, but unlike our club they’ll have pride and come out firing.

Lost 6 of the last 7 games to them
Cunnington out is a plus
Dumont played his best football against us
Anderson usually looks like a multiple brownlow winner
Last year Larkey looked like Lockett Hudson and Ablett rolled into one and possibly denied Weiters AA honours

I have this horrible feeling come next Saturday night it will be head for the gap

Can't take this one for granted. Their rucks usually torch us and their mids have stacked top well against ours.
Cuningtons plight is very sad but I'm glad he will miss.
I tipped us to lose this weeks ago so I'll just be happy to get a win. Forget talk about percentage.

This is a danger game ... for North.
If they're not switched on they might drop this game.

You can sure tell, reading the comments, how the last 20 years has totally scarred us as supporters. Totally understandable.
