Daniel Rioli will be fine. Social distancing is his speciality.

The Herald Sun mentions in the report that most Carlton players have already have covid so have a natural immunity.

Martin a given out it seems (hopefully no more from that outbreak), and assuming all of McGovern, Weitering and Newman only have minor niggles, the others I suspect might be a little nervous about their place in the team are O'Brien and Owies.

Tempting to minimise changes, perhaps Carroll comes in for Martin and not much (if anything) else. Perhaps Williamson gets a go on O'Brien's wing and I reckon Motlop will have his eye on Owies' forward pocket, but I suspect they might persist with them both another week and only make forced changes.

I’d be inclined to bring in Dow or Motlop to provide that explosiveness and power we will lack without Martin.

Who knows?

You may have read he kicked 3 in quick succession and was off injured after that.
But he was just quieter in the 2nd and got hit hard in the ribs in the 3rd kicking to Brunton ave goals end.

He went off for half the 3rd Qtr but came back on to HF. He didn't look to have broken ribs, probably sore. I saw and heard the hit. It was loud and hard. Philp stayed down for a minute after it. But he came back on in the 3rd. Probably went off for the last.

3 goals in 10 minutes is plenty to stamp your presence, and ability. Philp is Worthy for consideration to play a role...Martins role.

but from what I saw Motlop is the one to bring in, and I had Philip as my sub in my best 23. I don't think Philip is ripe for the picking for now, or Motlop Carroll and Dow look riper.

Carroll is the right choice to replace OBrien. Dow is a mid, and has weapons for that role, not the wing. But I'm only guessing having seen one game, a praccy game.

Poster on BF saying he copped a knock to the ribs and may miss a few no confirmation as yet from the club …

I could buy that. OBrien isn't a must. Martin is a given.

LOB played much better vs Saints and Dees wins. Owies and Fisher also vulnerable. There isn't any much pressure on coach to change after a great win but...

IMO Pressure for spots builds when players make way for those showing better form in the VFL especially players with no credits and team isn't settled.

Carlton isn't ready to settle on a team given they didn't all perform last night and we have the return of Walsh imminent, Stocker on the cusp, and the rise of players like Dow Kemp and Philp knocking.

The team should sing Free From Desire if we win. Or even Sons Of The West...

I agree. I think Carroll is definitely the right choice to replace LOB if they decide LOB is out. I have a feeling he will remain until Walsh returns.
Martin as the only definite out I think Dow is the best replacement as he can also run through the midfield. Its a pity Honey isn't fit and ready as he would be my first choice replacement for Martin.

Reports today are saying so far all players and coaches have returned negative test results.
Herald Sun saying that most Carlton players have already had covid which is a good thing.
Fingers crossed we don't lose any more players this week.

Thursday night- Setterfield 16 possessions, O'Brien 13.
Disposal efficiency, Setterfield 87.5%, O'Brien 61.5%
Metres gained, Setterfield 240m, O'Brien 188
Shit his pants under pressure, Setterfield 0, O'Brien 3.

Setterfields disposals were far more creative than O'Briens.
