Let them think that. They can get ahead of themselves, like we used to when only losing by 19 points.

I reckon it's a genuine 50:50 prospect, this one. We beat Brisbane, who have won 6 in a row since then (or 5 of 6,I forget). We're on a 3 game winning streak, 5 against interstate teams. I think Richmond and Geelong are favourites to beat us, but I reckon we're evens with WCE and the Aints.

Any reason why Stocker shouldn't be considered. He has had a couple of games back in the VFL. Precision kicking goes a long way with our new game style.

Mind you, I am one of those who believe it is hard to drop players from a winning team. DeLuca maybe.

Absolutely. Don't forget we should have beaten the Pies under Bolts until the maggots stepped in to the game. We've improved 6-7 goals since then I reckon. No one in the 8 wants to play us now.....

West Coast's last 3 matches interstate:
- Narrowly beat Melbourne by 13pts (Dees were wasteful in front of goal and probably should have won)
- Scraped home against the Hawks by 6 pts.
- Swans thrashed them by 45pts.

If we play well then we are a good chance.

Good stuff.
I fancy our chances if we start fast.
Their forward entries to Darling and Kennedy will suit Weitering and Jones.
Cripps won't have it so easy so the midfield clearances will be crucial.
Harry will have to mark everything and kick straight.

I also think we will beat Geelong in the last round f they are still a game in front of second. They may well rest some of their sore players and take the loss the way Freo did a few years ago against I think it was Hawks at Lonny.

^ unfortunately the stupid stupid stupid week's rest before finals makes it unlikely Geelong will ease off in r23.

It is vital that our forwards engage WCE’s defenders and don’t allow intercept marks. Great chance for Harry to show his doubters - which includes me - that he can play disciplined, team oriented footy.

Where have they said this Stoney? I'd like to read it. Cheers.

It was a passing comment made by Adam Simpson in an interview over the weekend. Something about building their percentage over the next few weeks.

We are a hard team to score against so I highly doubt it will be a blow out. JK is a brilliant player and Jones is going to have his hands full. I think our midfield with Cripps and Curnow hunting the ball is perfect for Murphy and Walsh. Reckon we have a well balanced midfield - something I havent seen since Gibbs left the club. I am praying to see Stocker and Cunners get a run in this game.

Cuningham and Fisher back in for Dow and Deluca. Paddy will be fine, I just reckon he could benefit from playing on ball in the 2s for a couple of weeks and just hunting the ball. Deluca has had a taste and done ok but for now Cunners and Fisher are well ahead of him.

The other one I’d be tempted to bring in is stocker but he’s only had 2 games back with limited playing time, I’d be inclined to let him continue building form and fitness in the 2s. Plus it’s bloody hard to drop anyone from the weekends performance, let alone 3 players

Apparently Hurn, Duggan, Cripps and Hutchings all trained well for the Eagles today. They will be close to full strength.

I'd like to see Teaguey assign an accountable forward to man up Hurn if he plays. He sets them up so well off hb. Maybe SOS might be a good match up and keep Hurn honest.

Let Walsh run with Gaff. Crippa vs Yeo will be a ripper. Curnow vs Shuey.

Rioli's flair and Petruccelle's speed scare me abit.

Should be a great baromoter for the players and Teaguey.

Lets hope they take the game on and continue on as they have these past 6 weeks.

Regards Cazzesman

Every article over here is about how to stop Cripps. Yeo is likely to run with him apparently. Cripps must get some blocking assistance at stoppages.
Im concerned about the quick small forwards they have and there's 3 or 4 of them.
Deluca is a tough nut id like him to stay in.
Harry will be better this week.
Fish in for Dow.
I think the ruck contest may decide the game.
Blues win with a kick after the siren....
