Developing very nicely where 19 year olds should be. Letting yourself down by including these kids in your argument.

And that’s why I left them out of my average rating.

Well...you have no cause for concern. I'm the straightest man I know and I've barred up over DeKoning on multiple occasions already this year.

Next week we play the Aints at Etihad and we have a tremendous record there this year possibly our 2 worst performances for the year against Freo and Gc although that's saying something after today's performance

Positives

Charlie 3 goals
Obrien first goal

Fishers last quarter
First quarter dominated but as usual don't make the other side pay

Didn't get behind by 7 goals in the first quarter like the last 3 times left that to last 3 quarters

Proved we don't need priority pick (like that one Rexy )

Tagged Zorko

Negatives

Lost to second bottom by goals

Lack of system disturbing -lack of grit even more disturbing

Injuries one before the match one in the first quarter so that ends the guys game and Marchbank who keeps getting injured

Every time we have a so called winnable match we have a shocker

Graham Rowe lamb are not AFL standard

Getting ball smothered

Decision making
Every facet of the game

I beg to differ on one of your points. Unfortunately, there are no winnable games. It's a sad state of affairs.

All your other points were spot on.

I’m not gonna sit hear and be delusional like the lot of you and think we are heading in the right direction. I’m gonna do my best to hold this club accountable for the poor decisions it continues to make

Take baby steps trublu...starting with holding yourself grammatically accountable for the poor syntax decisions you make when posting

it will make you appear more intelligent than you really are...the truth hurts, doesn't it?

Lack of effort. Inexcusable. Appalling play, disheartening.
Game plan, very questionable.
If we are going to play zones, they have to be tighter, back each other up and run harder,.. Otherwise we're playing 'holes'.

PROS
I did not fly up for the game

CONS
Had surgery, so felt sh!t even before the game started.. Haven't gotten better...thank God for strong drugs

Can officially start debating what happens with pick 1 too..

Go Blues

tough tough game to watch

we need midfielders, real midfielders, and we need a few of them.

Other than how we played (and that was poor) I can't stop seeing 5 of theirs to 3 of ours all day, all contested times...

that and our blokes finding ways to either kick into their blokes or kick it to them

From AFL website:
INJURIES
Brisbane: Nil
Carlton: Phillips (hamstring), Weitering (calf), Marchbank (heart)

What damage did Marchbank do to his heart? Encouraged that he has a heart.

Not really a stat - but at least Dow didn’t get injured.

Coaches went back to the all out attacking game plan this week. We just don't have the midfield to do it. Last week we had players behind the ball and applied pressure to the opposition. Yeah it's not great to watch but it makes us a lot more competitive.

This week we went back to focussing just on ball movement. Could be because we wanted to test it out against a supposedly poor team, could be because we're tanking or really just want to do it as part of the education but whatever the reason is we get smashed whenever we do it. Back line was left wide open and that's not a good thing with the way our midfield leaks inside 50s, at one stage 18 of the last 20 inside 50s had gone to the Lions.

We're genuinely about four really good mature midfielders short of what the good teams have. Dow will be one for sure but we need to add a lot more.

Woeful. Against GC Freeo and now Bris we have been horrible. About 9 players deserve to be dropped, but we have no replacements. When is the coach going to stop giving excuses? Even if we lose we should be able to match the opposition's intensity and workrate. We were nowhere near it. Wright, Graham, Rowe lamb, Thomas shouldn't be getting a game but we have no one else. Kennedy at least looked interested and Fisher was good again. Weitering looks a shadow of the player he was two years ago. We seem to be able to un-develop players.

UPDATE: Caleb Marchbank came off the field in the second half with a raised heartbeat. He will undergo testing this evening at hospital but is expected to be OK. The Club will provide further updates when they come to light.
