Hawthorn are definitely beatable but Carlton will need to be switched on for the entire game to give themselves a chance.

Good luck to anyone being picked for the game down at arctic park in Tassie.

Poisoned chalice going down there against this mob.

I watched the replay of the NAB game and I think we are a chance.
We have plenty of supporters down there.
Its not much colder than Melbourne.

I suppose Hawks have an advantage training at Arctic Park.

Absolutely

Add a bit of luck too.

Just feel our Team defense will stand up against Hawks. We need to be spot on hitting up leads.
If players like Kerridge, Sumner, Wright get their kicking right, we have already improved turnovers.

Like I said....a bit of luck wont go astray.

I'm tempted to back the Blues at Casboult's home state.

We will lose by 60 but I would like to see Casboult clunk a few. Normally does well against the Hawks.

I like your optimism Bondi...but all I'm seeking is one of those things called an 'honourable loss'

Rain expected in the afternoon.

Harry McKay to play his first game depending on the weather.

I'm worried they'll go with Everitt. Ran hard and really impacted contests last week in the VFL, often going back with the flight of the ball in to packs. That's very encouraging and most pleased he did that, but I'd much a 2nd key forward.

Jones will at least really compact a contest, take a man and separate the defence. Been hard at it and deserves a run. On the other hand Jaksch, while he might lack confidence, which holds him back, has played well in the VFL at both ends of the ground, especially with his marking. That's allows us to swing Jaksch and Weitering if needed, which we can't do with Jones. Pros and cons either way in regards of who we pick.

For this weekend I'd say Jones in for Curnow. With an eye to the future Jaksch or McKay are much better selections but it'd be a baptism of fire for McKay. Happy with any of them coming in really, Jones was good in his other senior games this year.

Everitt was brilliant against the Cats. In the event he is selected, let's hope he can replicate that form and effort.

I'd save McKay and KJ for the easier matches coming up and use Jones as cannon fodder for this one.

What are you trying to get at? Everyone knows that we have been a rabble for the best part of 15 years. But most also can see that we are now on the right path.
