Inspirational. Lifted us out of some very dark times off the back of individual brilliance and determination. No Judd no finals 2009, 2010,2011 no victory 2013 elim final - sums up his contribution. A good guy too, saw him in action at a preseason club family day at healesville - he was surrounded by a huge crowd of kids chasing an autograph, stayed there until every kid had their memorabilia signed. Thanks Juddy, legend.

Sad time.. End of another era.

Has Judd actually got a nickname??? What do the players call him? Or is it just Juddy, Champ, or Sir?

279 games.. difficult to get to 300 you would think. 8-12 months out.. he would have to go around for another two years... permanent forward?

Did Cameron Guthrie foresee this and now has in his possession what may well be juddy's last full game jumper ?

That's pretty much all Juddy ever wanted Agro ☺

Yep. Guthrie in cahoots with Dangerfield. Was also seen at that Cafe with Redback and Vangipuss. This is going to go global.

If he decides it's over then I want him as a sub in the last game of the year. With about 10 minutes to go, plonk him in the goal square and let the faithful say goodbye.
Players can then (carefully) chair him off the ground and he'll get the send of he deserves.

Kouta was forced to play with a brace up to his neck!! Surely Juddy could lean against a goalpost for a few minutes

We'd need to manufacture a goal for him.

I've been thinking about this a little and I hope he plays on.
9 months before the next season, so plenty of time for him to get back and play opening rounds.
Common Juddy 1 more!

Like many others I would love to see Judd comeback and end his career on a more positive note, but in a funny kind of way this is probably a very Chris Judd way to end. In that he's not really one to seek accolades and limelight. By ending his career through injury he hasn't had to really endure the will he won't he retire circus that the end of this season would have brought.

As mentioned, he gave us hope and and while he didn't achieve the ultimate with us he certainly made an impact and is one of the best players to wear our jumper.

Signifying that hope, my favourite memory of Judd at Carlton came in the early seconds of his debut game for us against Richmond when he won the first centre bounce and the crowd erupted into a massive cheer. It was wonderful expression from the fans of what we had and what we hoped to follow.

Chris Judd, thank you.
