You 'forgot' Ellard!

He's in the same boat as Johnson. I was an advocate for Ellard up forward in 2013, but he's past his used-by date now, and survives only as a backup because of last year's flower cull.

He's been a faithful servant of the club, and he might get another go this year at some point, but I'd much prefer to see the names I mentioned in the mix because we've got reliable depth in other positions if we want to bring Yarran and others into the forward setup.

I was just trying to stir you up Jim.

I never know any more with this Ellard business. I feel like people are passing this stuff on and he's going to tackle me in the street out of the blue.

World first case of Ellardophobia

Do you have a squad sheet for the intraclub?

Nah... was hoping to see both get a gig in the seniors last week or even against Collingwood but don't think they will get the opportunity, just think these two guys are going to be very good for us so hope they go really well with the NB's this year

..I think knockers' best hope for a strong season, is regular and hopefully consecutive games from crisps.. ..I reckon he's the only mid that can really take full advantage of knockers' ability to get first tap to the ball.. ..knockers is average quality, but high quantity.. ..so crisps strong, and tall,, inside game can really work well with knockers.. .... ..the few games where they've played together has already shown good form.. ..only glimpses but that's from not enough opportunity to work together.. ..they Should get plenty this season..

The revisionist history on Garlett as a defensive forward is amazing. He defended when he felt like it. Give me thomas over betts because he can play on the ball. Tutt johnson army or buckley will fill the breach

Quicker, taller and more skilful than Kenna.

Definitely can't kick on the run at the moment though, needs to work on it.

Ill take an educated guess:

1, Jamison
2. Carrazzo
3. Judd
4. Thomas
5. Gibbs
6. Henderson
7. Everitt
8. Menzel

9. Warnock

Whiley may be given some time on field but dont know how fit he is.

INJ: Kreuzer Walker Murphy Holman Ellard Giles Foster

Getting closer to full strength and only 23 days before Round 1...I cant wait to be in Melbourne for that!

Yup I'd say you're right bondi, but I personally don't think Warnock even deserves the opportunity straight up, needs to show he gives a crap when the meter starts to tick towards empty.

The result doesnt mean much as long as we dont get hammered, we just need to see player improvement and some understanding of the game plan and I want to see how this forward line
of Casboult, Jones and Henderson will work out.

I get the feeling they've been panicked into getting more senior players in on the back of lack lustre WC effort and low membership.

They'd want to show something with maybe only 3-4 best 22 missing.

Hoping like hell Whiley gets up, want to see better depth in our mids after our lesser lights and newbies didn't get much of it v WC.

I think it was always the plan.

Two good solid hit outs closer to home for the full strength team makes sense.

Yup. Normally they've been able to spread the proper build up over 3 of the usual 4 games, with the final game being a full hit out, but after doing a hit and giggle we're going to have to wheel out a proper squad for the next two matches to build continuity for the season proper.
