only sav can do this job ........

and believe me.... its not casboults technical mechanics thats bad.. hes just not a winner...

you cant fix his kicking... he has the kicking yips .... ian baker finch style... now IBF actually had sound form in his putting.. but his brain was jelly

casboult is horrible with his kicking form and is a jelly head under pressure

IBF could still putt
Couldn't get it off the tee
Had the best swing on the circuit but lack distance.
He went to a low loft driver and changed his swing from there it was all over never recovered.
This bloke arse whistles when he lines up for goal.
He cant do it and the more he tries the worse he will get
This year will end his career

Jones can kick but can't get mark.

Levi can mark but can't kick.

I still think Levi is a better option ... his marking could be awesome ... just needs to hand it off more.

you see kenny hunter didnt have the best kicking action too

but when parkin thrust him into the forward line to kick goals and kenny was 40 meters out .. he slotted them through

why???

because kenny was a winner.. and he knew he had to dob it...so he did...

casboult isnt a winner... he can work on his kicking action forever.. but hes always going to miss and release the pressure
because thats what he is... hes the great deflator...

youre can back him in as many times as u want.. but he will always be who he is... cos thats who he is...

casboult is always going to skin u... when you need him most...

its his nature as a footballer

Don't get to hung up on Jones kicking he is very suspect as well
Watson is our best kick
But he is a bit of a headless chook on the field

Anything can be fixed....but agree gro, is now the time? That tells us we probably don't have the tools to fix it

Don't know what Sav is like as a teacher...often the worst possible thing to do when teaching a skill like this is to have someone who is very good at it....
The worry is that this is our "tools" ...get Sav in round two to start working with our poor kicking forwards?....really? Now?
YEEESH! (Slaps forehead)

What worries me is Gro's point that we are trying to do something now?!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they supposed to be up the other end of the ground???

Dead right Ryan.

I think people forget that the midfield were thrashed last night, not necessarily with the first touch but certainly the link.

Forwards chasing kicks and being moved into defence to get a kick was due to the lack of a link and run forward from mids.

It's not entirely fault of the KPFs. Jones hasn't been given a chance, Casboult made chances because of his ability to mark, despite the fact he can't mick well.

Walker and Yarran closer to the mids might help, but geez the mids should be prepared to die for the ball before they give up. We need them to get desperate for the ball and hit the opposition like they're the enemy.

We can turn this around. We need to stop the 4 tags and believe we can win the nut!

It's all Kick Malthouse's fault.

Perhaps we can get Cas to take the marks then have Sav step in, kick for goal and walk off (a bit NFL / NRL style)

..bolt is the forward equivalent of knockers.. ..both one trick ponies.. ....a player has to be multifaceted.. ..only having one thing t classify as a skill isn't enough.. ....we have too many project types..

....silliest thing is, Watto's match last round 2014 is as good as anything the current forwards have done.. ..and he is the youngest, most least experienced player of the lot.. ..and a defender for most of his footy too.. ..i'd rather play him alongside hendo, at least we will have two big forwards that will present all game, and both of them will have good hands and feet.. ..it's the back up ruck situation.. ..does bolt get gifted games purely because he is big enough to ruck..?.. ..jones to ressies until he ups his work rate..

got to get the ball
if you dont have the ball they have the ball
and if they have the ball ... u dont have the ball and u dont have scoring opportunities

to me it all gets back to this very thin midfield

..thin more on honest work rather than quality, and quality is shallow..

....for years we ignored crucial player types at the draft so serves up right..
