Positives but as always filled with our skill errors. Very glad to see the boys back up for Murph.

Ellard, thanks for your gutsy efforts but that's goodbye.

No dull feeling on the loss. Happy to see the effort by all. At the end of the day we may need the higher draft pick to improve our skills more than the 4pts this year.

10:33 left on the clock in the last quarter (watch from there) and see why Carrazzo is still in the side.

If he can have a good pre-season and remain injury free for 2015, and put in efforts like the above example, I look forward to Carrazzo staying on another year.

Symptomatic of our whole season
Need more skills and a more skilful team
Need more pace and quality in the side
Go into draft and get talent
Simpson Murphy Thomas all good
Juddy should go round again
Too many times this year we have given up lead in last quarter
Won't single players out but some are limited and we need to get better
Thought Waite was pretty good again
Graham needs game time
Johnson made a contribution
Not sure wood is the answer give up a lot at centre bounces

How old are you?

It gets progressively harder.

He's hurting now.

Gonna hurt worse next year.

Why is it so important to find scape goats? Games are not won and lost in one situation. It's simply 5 to 10% in class and composure we are missing. Need to inject that to the list. The biggest worry is that 2 of our best - Judd and Simmo - are 2 of our oldest.

Blew it in the second quarter, couldn't put 'em away. Our kicking skills (or lack of them) let us down again, can't complain about the effort. Had no one who could run with Fyffe in the last. Belly looked stuffed in the last, hopefully has a good preseason and injury free run, has to make it next year.

Thomas had plenty of the ball, still a crap kick, as is Judd. Even the goal Judd kicked was a mongrel floater, missed a sitter. Wood and Casboult competed well in the ruck, Sandilands very little influence. Bolt's hands not good tonight, I dunno, thought he had it long enough to perhaps be paid that mark late.

A lot to like, thought it was a pretty crap standard game though, Freo won't go far into September.

MM saying "they're a good side, made less mistakes than us" fair comment.

Roll on 2015.

The Tuohy 50m penalty was the one that cost us in the end. Massive in the scheme of things.

We need speed at ground level inside forward 50 ... Gartlett would have been a better sub.

These honourable losses are not getting us any closer to winning.

Lucas over Fyffe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG :donk:

Casboult takes that mark, and we never have to see how much Wood can shit the bed.

Don't forget Docherty's OOF.

I reckon Docherty will be a star but that is the second game he has cost us (with a little help from his friends) this year with a turnover.

Best game from Daisy though. 115 dream team points.

Docherty had a few players on the inside but he decided to play safe, team rules. He failed in his execution. That mark to Casboult should have been paid, I've seen hundreds paid like that this year. I actually tipped us to win. Big error from Touhy changed momentum in the last quarter, Garlett would have been more useful out there today. Ellard just let's himself down each week with poor disposal. Judd should go around again for the next 2 seasons

We played one of our better games for the year & they played terribly, & got injuries, but still won. Big gulf between us & the top teams.

But a pretty good effort.

Still give up too many easy goals and as everyone noted kings of giving up goals in red time
Mick in his press conference was right if you lose this many close ones then you are not unlucky
Not devastation because when we play 4 quarters of footy we are competitive but need more class
Too many b graders filling up last 6 Positions
Not surprised we lost let's face it the last 5 years we have lost more of these games than anyone
Disappointing to compare this form with shocking form for most of the season -why has it taken us until round 18 and 19 to produce this footy

Good post bar the very last bit. Against a big bloke of 7ft Wood wasn't going to be winning any tap outs. Almost waste going up in centre bounces.

In Wood's two games though we've won the clearances nd against North he gave us heaps around the ground. Last error tonight though...aarrrghhh! Winning less taps as makes things less predictable at centre bounces. I say that as Sandilands and Warnock with their height dominate taps so it makes it just as easy for the opposition to read as those those from their own teams. Freo so often lose the clearance totals despite Sandliands. 7ft ruckman that are huge around the ground....massive. 7ft ruckmen at centre bounces actually not that effective surprisingly due to predictability.

Every team has injuries but Kreuzer Buckley Menzel Everitt would have been handy tonight

Thought Casboult held it long enough to be paid the mark with just over a minute to go, but even so, his hands weren't anywhere near as sure tonight as they usually are.

The effort is certainly there, but we lack the poise and class to finish off our work.

Throw in robbo.
He walks into this side . don't underestimate his form recently.
Still we lack a midfield and definitely depth.

Despite 6 wins only we have more hope than last year. Games plan seems more suited to our strengths, baring the odd glaring error were are playing better defensively, individuals have improved, a few young blokes coming on. Actually giving us more hope than last year. A bit to go, and often frustrating, but more promising than it has been for a while.

Great effort all 'round...but tonight's a perfect example of the deficiencies and what needs to happen going forward. Unfortunately we're hampered somewhat with bad contracts...carrying Carrazzo for ANOTHER year is painful...and far more painful than any 2014 loss. But there are some signs there that bode well for the future.

Good to get 0 points out of that one...save the 4 points for the Bombers....

But it was only 2 years not three.

Big pre season recruit wise and on the track, and we ll be on the right track next year.
Showing we can match it with the big boys.
Just need to learn to keep our composure in the close ones.
That's 6 losses under 15 pts this year.
