Surely even Sticks wouldn't be putting a new contract in front of Malthouse after the season we have had. i hate him but we need to stop appointing and sacking people in contract. One more year for bitter old Mick and then we may finally have a thoughtful intelligent approach to getting a coach. Mick has been coaching for 30 years, the next longest is Clarkson at about ten. Doen't make Mick 3 times as good. Just makes him older, bitterer, more set in his ways.

The pity is that had we made good off filed decisions about coaching and recruitment ten years back when we were getting all those high draft choices we might be in contention, but shocking recruitment and poor coaching appointments have taken us from the bottom to the bottom. we are Richmond and melbourne and given where GC and GWS are headed, none of our current list may play in a grand final, let alone win one.

Synbad, You supported a dud move at the end of 2012. Now you have changed your tune and are arguing what some who you argued against were saying at the time.

On top of all that Mick got outcoached by a guy cheering goals and sitting on the bench not in the box. Yesterday was a shocker for the 2012 version of you .

Actually I don't believe you can be out coached when there are few quality players and the worst list in the competition.
Unless you believe we can be competitive with bugger all players from five drafts
You seem to be thinking the opposite.

You did for 6 years whilst ratts was coach...

Although you didnt blame Pagan for any of the results during his 6 year tenure - it was all Beumonts and Campos and Lances fault - the players fault except for Ricky Mot and Micky martyn because they were Paganites - sacred cows, never to be criticised in public

You also Changed overnight when MM got the gig - you ensured the planet that Mick will instantly have an effect and will outdo ratts as a coach. we must have had a very healthy list at the end of 2012 - Mick thought so - he didnt want to change much of our list

Now ladies and gentlemen its all the players fault - specifically the players that Mick didnt have anything to do with

So ladies and gentlemen we much protect the master coach Malthouse, and 4 sacred untouchables daisy, Docherty, Everitt and Wood

You almost got away with your little plan Mr S, just like Mr Reid

In the end we must all face the music of our past utterances - especially if they are on the public record

And like the Great Ricky Mott, You stand guilty as charged like the rest of us.

I said the same thing when we lost to Melbourne. We are cr@p and until we realise it we shall remain so. Finding it desperately hard to keep the faith after so long. I joined the week we dumped Elliott and have maintained the faith since then but its now tough not to just give footy away. I was embarrassed to be wearing a blues beanie today. Had to slip it into my pocket.

I think Carlton needs to wake up and stop listening to Mick's BS and put him under the blow torch. He will cull the list and put the team in the dark ages for next 15 years if he is left to save his legacy. You think the San Antonio Spurs won the NBA title this season because they had the best players? NO, they had the best COACH. The team beat Miami with the best playing list in the league, because they had a game plan and played as a team. They simply out coached Miami with 3 hall of fame players in their team. Before you look at a playing list, look at the coach.

Is he really that great anyway? 2 premierships with WCE in 92 and 94 with a awesome list and if it wasn't for a bounce over milnes head he wouldn't have 3!. The way the game is played now has changed a lot since he won premierships, maybe he can't adapt or has no innovating ideas left. Old coach will bring old coaching styles and what worked in 1992, 1994 and 2010 most likely won't work now. He will be sacked or memberships will dive dramatically, l can't even be bothered going to the games anymore when the game is played this way. There is no fight, no spark, players are not playing to a game plan. It is BS and in this day and age, you don't need to continually yell at players to get what you want to achieve done. Listen to Hinkley talk to players and you get my drift. Some how in 2 seasons he has got PTA from bottom 3 to being a flag fav!.

THE LIST IS NOT THAT BAD FFS!!

Heat best playing list? Um NO

They had lebron who is the best player but the depth of the team is shocking. Wade has rapidly declined. Bosh is average. Ray Ray is on his last legs and the rest are average at best. Lebron carries that team. They are overrated.

A) He told the board to wake up and smell reality in regards to the playing list
B) He personally got Thomas and Everett to come. (Thomas is a top player. A "b" grader who you fail to acknowledge)
C) He turned White and Rowe from E graders into C graders
D) He gave Casboult some sense of belief and developed a kicking style to turn him from an E grader into a C grader
E) He has taught Gibbs to win contested Ball
F) He turned Buckley into a defender and potential B grader
G) He rejevunated a punch drunk Kade Simpson as a backman
H) He won a final.
