Warnock looks injured to me. Can not jump.
I can take tonight. There are some green shoots hopefully we are only a few drafts away from winning a game like this.
Jamison plays tonight the game is a toss up

Pro: Watson wasn't exploited for his lack of pace or mobility
Con: He was still a horror show.

Just home from the game. Not too disappointed, thought we had a crack but turn overs killed us.
I would have subbed Watson at the 10 minute mark of the first quarter.
How good is Judd?
Effort was there and if we have that for the rest of the season we will win a few more games.

Until 3/4 time we were still a chance; but their commitment and class were too much at the end.

I thought Watson fought back pretty well during the middle stages of the game after a terrible start.

Disappointed in the last qtr, thought we played too loose & made some stupid mistakes...Simmo going for a run at half back & getting caught, Carrazzo's shocking handball in the centre etc.

Pleased with Robbo's effort up forward, & another good game from GIBBS.

We're just one of those teams that has to absolutely throw the kitchen sink at the top sides to come away with a competitive loss...sums up where we are at.

The effort was pretty good. Our bottom six (or eight) are not AFL standard. We were beaten by a team that was better across the board.

Special mentions for Juddy (he is almost underrated now - callers forget how good he is), Murph tried hard, Gibbs was good, Everitt, Casboult has improved immensely, Thomas in bursts and Rowe was wholehearted.

Warnock destroyed by a spud again. Hit outs to advantage were 10-1 against at one stage.

Just got back from the airport and turned on the replay.
So far have seen five minutes.

Opening bounce, Warnock hitout straight to Hawks player for a clearance.
First stoppage inside Hawks F50, Warnock hits straight to Hawks player for a clearance except for a Judd tackle.

I am almost too scared to watch the rest after that and then reading your comments about stoppages...

Only listened on the radio, but I've never heard commentators as shocked about a player's game as they were about Watson. They seemed genuinely and honestly staggered that someone so substandard was playing at AFL level, and called for him to be subbed at 1/4 time in everyone's best interests. And from what I've read from Blues and neutral posters, they weren't far wrong :(

To be that far off the pace in your fourth season is just a terrible sign. Wonder if that was his last game.

We gave away easy goals with shocking turnovers....they didn't . It cost us both on the scoreboard and in terms of effort which is why we ran out of puff towards the end.

Every time I watch Hawthorn I think back to that draft. Pagan set us up for one of the most savage @r$e flowerings ever seen. The 2003 draft/trade defines Carlton today

He was much better after quarter time but then he missed a goal, which people won't forget.

Every chance he'll play again next week.

Cameo from Casboult - does he have the motor to contribute all match? Kicking was effective tonight

Hopefully that was his breakout game.

On fitness, its been said a few times that he is the fittest big man at the club - I suspect he would look a lot better/contribute more if he was played purely as a key forward.

I feel sorry for Watson.... He might have played his Last game for the Club. For such a booming kick, It's frustrating to see him not develop into a good player. Sad & disappointing :(

He's in for his kicking but couldn't hit a target from 15 metres away in the first quarter that cost a goal, and should have nailed his shot for goal from 30 metres in the third quarter that would have put us 3 goals in front.

If only his target was someone's back pocket from 60 metres away.

The last 2 minutes sum up our problems.

We made 3 handballs and all of them fell short, turning into half-volleys.

This was just after Carazzo handballed over his teammates head resulting in a Hawthorn goal.

We don't kick the ball well but our handballing is incompetent.

Lucky we didn't screw up the 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012 Drafts then.

Yes they were all shoelace specials.

That sums up our entire night, we torched any chance we had by poor disposal by hand and foot at crucial times.

Watson's shank at goal was the momentum killer.
Don't get me wrong, we'd have lost anyway. But that really deflated the team.

Agree. Momentum swung from that moment and the game was done.

8 points up in 3rd quarter, all momentum, Murphy streaming into the 50, could have run to 30, kicks to Watson... Watson misses. Hawthorn go on and kick the next 5 goals...

Might be harsh, but a captain kicks those goals.

He had a shocker last night
